Not sure where to start

My fiancé and I got engaged last weekend and are looking to get married this September. We're thinking our guest list will be between 130-150 people and would like to spend at most $100 pp. We would really like a venue with a beautiful outdoor space and on site ceremony space. We live in Manorville so we don't really want to look to much further west then the Nassau/Suffolk border.

Hi and congratulations!

Long Island has some of the best venues in the country and they all have their own flavor and personality. This is going to be a FUN and exciting time for you two! I recommend going to as many showcases as you can and letting them all wine you dine you and win your heart.

It will give you an idea of who has the amenities you seek and what the price range is. Day of the week, time of the year, how soon or how far out you book... the banquet managers will help figure out how it get you what you need if it is possible.

There is also the LIW Extravaganza on April 8th that you might want to check out. LIW shows are the biggest and best with more cash and prizes given away than any other shows.

Thanks for posting this. I thought I was the only one who didn't know where to begin! My fiance and I got engaged on 3/6/13 and within DAYS friends, family and coworkers were asking about our wedding date and where we're having it. Got me a little nervous and intimidated for sure. I went to check out one venue this past weekend and have an appointment to tour another on Thursday night. I can FM you about the one I saw if you like?
