Photography problem (opinion)

I booked my photographer about 2 months ago, and I have had several problems regarding the scheduling of my engagement pics. I want professional advise on what I should do, but I don't want to name the photography company so as not to 'bash' them. I signed the contract directly with the photographer I will be using the day of my wedding, and this problem does not invlove him. What happened was this: I called to schedule my EP's and spoke with a woman who answered the phone, who obviously did not have a clue, but scheduled me for my EP's on a Monday afternoon (I was on vaca that day). The morning of the pics, they call and say 'so and so made a mistake, we dont do EP's in the middle of the day'. So, OK. Then I schedule them for a weeknight after work. That morning, they called to confirm. I drive to the office (rushing like a maniac), tell the guy that we have an appt....... and he thinks I mean a 'sales' appt, not an EP appt and proceeds to get ready to do his sales pitch!!!!! So I say nooooo we already booked with you, we are here for EP's and someone from the back yells, oh they can't do them tonight bc of the weather, it's not nice enough outside!!!! And did anyone call us???? NOOO!!!!!!! So my prob is do I raise hell, or keep quiet since this did not direcly involve in any way the specific photographer I am dealing with at my wedding? Thanks!

Unfortunately, miscues happen. The main question is: Do you have faith in this company that they can give you the product and services that you expect? If so, then perhaps understand that ............. life is nuts! We ALL try to keep organized and have good customer relations, but these kind of misses DO happen and sometimes they get on a roll and keep going, but don't actually mean anything (I had a wedding recently where one thing after another kept going wrong. On and on and on and that morning after running back to fix her nails and hair that didn't come out the way she wanted, she was mighty upset. I convinced her to just go with it and she enjoyed herself the rest of the day and everything was fine (although not perfect!)

Sooooooo .......... by all means mention the problems, but getting too upset doesn't do much good unless you really want to cancel.

Good luck!

Yes, things do happen and we all get busy, BUT, unfortunately, the service after the sale is what is lacking here, in our opinion. Someone should have called you previously when looked out the window to see that the weather wasn't up to par. We always confirm with our clients and call to postpone if the weather takes a turn for the worst. Not make a client trek all the way there. Also, I do not think that yelling to you from the back room was the way to handle the situation. The person could have at least come out, spoken to you face to face and apologized for the mix up. I would not say to cancel their services either at this point, but, I would definitely explain it to someone hire up in the company and tell them you have not liked the way you have been treated thus far, you are their customer. Just our opinion.

I DO agree with Verdi, in case that wasn't clear in my post. Yes, the way they treated you is NOT professional, nor up to par and by all means, lodge your complaint. I just meant to treat it lightly and giive them another chance.
