We are in the placecard stage and I have this idea in my head but don't know how to make it work. Since we are having a fall wedding I would like to have a 'tree' with leaf shaped places cards hanging off. Any of you creative brides have any idea what I could use for the tree?

Re: Placecard 'Tree'
I know with the Halloween holiday in full swing they actually sell Halloween trees. (Similar to an Easter tree w/ mini easter ornaments) They are simple trees, and you hang very small Halloween related ornaments on them. Most of the ones I've see are black, but you could always change the color by wrapping ribbon over it. The trees are small too, but maybe if you got a couple of them, you could create the look you were going after by hanging your placecards on the branches. Re: Placecard 'Tree'
I'll do a quick search on-line for you right now. I'd love to say Target, but I'm not 100% positive. I'll let you know my results in a little while.

Re: Placecard 'Tree'
OK, here's what I found: not much!! But I know I've seen them in stores though!!
Check: (cut & paste address) www.christmasespast.com/spookblacbar.html [A=http://www.christmasespast.com/spookblacbar.html] *this website sells a set of 3 Dept. 56 trees painted black for $12.50. The sizes are 5.5', 6.5' and 10'. You could always spray paint them a different color.
Also look into Jo-Anns. They have this one listed: (It's white, but wouldn't hold that many.) www.joanne.com/catalog.jhtml?CATID=40928+PRODID=10647
*Another idea: you could get a nice grapevine wreath and attach your leaf placecards to that. It could look really nice. You could also buy a wreath w/ fall colored leaves already on it, add your placecards to it and then put a couple of votive holders around the table, maybe a nice pillar one in the center for decoration.
