Has anyone done a wedding at Thatched Cottage? If so what was your impression of the place & do you have any warnings/suggestions.

We have done many weddings there and have many sample photos from weddings there as well as
the very nearby Vanderbilt Museum. The people there are very nice and the food is excellent.
We have done weddings on location there outside in the gazeba as well as upstairs in the chapel room...all depends on weather and your preference.

Make sure if you are having a Band or DJ that they have performed there before.The sound in the room on the main level is totally different from the sound on the lower level-because of the difference in the acoustics.I have a sound analysis computer and I have the sound curve of both rooms in my computer banks. The Thatched Cottage is a very nice place to have your wedding. We have photographed there on many occasions and have not run into any problems. The outdoor gazebo is great for your ceremony and/or formal photos. The lobby area as well is great for formal/family photos. The staff and food is great.
