what would you do if ...

ok, TOTALLY hypothetically, if you got pregnant today, what would you do?

I asked DH this question and he said he would NOT be happy and he'd want my to have an abortion so we could wait until we're ready.

I wouldn't really be 100% happy either, but I'd want to keep it anyhow.

well considering we are ttc i dont think my opinion is what youre looking for...

but as a married couple the idea of having an abortion seems borderline ridiculous to me...

DH are not even close to TTC, but if I found out I was preggo today, we'd make it work.

We had a scare when we were 9 months our from the wedding- how ironic, I know. I took an at-home test and DH waited there with me on the side of the bathtub. When it was negative, he was honestly disappointed. He agreed that it wasn't ideal but that we would've made it work- we come from two loving, supportive, tight knit families who would've helped us in every way shape and form. My heart absolutely melted for him then.

i dont believe in abortion for myself, but even if i did, i think i'd be freaked out with 'what if we cant get pregnant later'...and if there were ever complications in the future, i would probably think back and wonder if the previous abortion was related,.....i would feel awful if that were the case

this exactly. i do understand some couples wanting to take the abortion route if they really weren't ready financially or something but even though we aren't ready yet we are in a loving, stable marriage with two good jobs so if it happened we would make it work.

i am 100% pro-choice, even for myself in another situation, but i don't think i could abort mine and dh's baby together.

i'd be really confused .

I guess since DH and I straight-up do not want kids, I feel differently. IMO, it'd be worse to bring a kid into this world that we don't want...having a child is not something either of us want. Every once in awhile he'll feel like 'should we?' for a few minutes, and then he reverts back to not wanting one. And I never have the curiosity.

He and I aren't wired to have kids.
