remember me? i'm married!! review

so it's been forever since i've been on... i can't believe how busy i was between getting ready for the wedding and finishing up the school year!

billy and i had the most wonderful wedding day- the weather was a little iffy all week and even rained a little that morning, but before the photog came, the sun came out and it was magnificent!!

invites: A+++
Berry Ink was incredible and totally understood my beach theme and pulled of the perfect invitations, programs and everything else!!

limo: A-
we went with first student and got a party bus for the wedding party. it worked out perfectly because we had a large wedding party (14) and we were also able to fit their spouses as well. the driver was a little confused, but it worked out very well! we also rented 3 school buses for our guests (we have a big family) and Kim was great to work with!!

photographer: A++
Michael Rosengard with North Island Photography. he was so professional and made me feel at ease (haha and even a little like a model) he had an assistant that was also awesome. michael is truly an artist and i can't wait to see the pictures!!!

video: A+
Bill with Blue Sky Video was awesome!! His tag line is unobtrusive video (or something like that) and he certainly was. he came to the house beforehand and never got in the way at all. even through the reception, i saw him around and my friends said he did interviews, but i definitely didn't see it! just the way i wanted!

church: A
St. Anthony's in Rocky Point was fantastic! Fr. Richard con celebrated with Fr. Mike. Fr. Mike was the priest while I was in middle school/ HS and it was only natural for me to have him marry us, and he was wonderful to come! Laura and Greg were also awesome!

attire:
Fantasia A
i got my dress and veil at fantasia in rocky point. i was caught in the middle of the old owner and new owner and it caused some issues (not our fault, but they were taken out on us at first...) maria the seamstress is fantastic and took care of the problems!

men's warehouse A
billy got his linen suit from men's warehouse. he looked incredible, but who knew linen wrinkles so much?!
i got my hair pins and jewelry from ebay- and i couldn't be happier. all of my other jewelry i've had for a long time

flowers: A
malkemes did a wonderful job and i couldn't be happier! we only did bouquets and boutineers because i did my own centerpieces

Steel drum band: B+

he wasn't the friendliest man, but he played beautifully the entire time during cocktail hour

DJ: A+
Mike Huke from Sound choice entertainment was awesome! we wanted a rock n roll wedding/ drift music and he hit the nail on the head! there was literally not a minute that the dance floor wasn't packed! even the DJ said that this was his favorite set list ever!

reception hall: A++++++
we had started off with another catering hall and it was crazy changing 6 months away from the wedding date (and doing it long distance none the less) but it was certainly meant to be. Rich and Donna gave nothing but 110% from the very beginning. we were lucky enough that they had our date, and they didn't know what they were getting into when we booked, but they were fantastic! i think we had one of the biggest weddings there and i kind of had a lot of things: i made my own ice cream cakes- 17 in all, i had 3 different centerpieces that they had to do some assembling, as well as the place card table etc. i got to the room and it couldn't be any more perfect if i did it myself! even when i dropped off the cp's Donna was genuinely excited to see them... haha she does this everyday, but she was really interested in mine! Rich was also excited for the ice cream cakes- we were thanking him for being so great to let us take up freezer space, nad he said that he loved when brides make it different!

they were very accommodating with food choices and options and i just can't get over the service!! apparently they brought in people from other lessings to tackle our big wedding!

the rooms and grounds were beautiful and a great backdrop for pictures.

i can't say enough about smithtown landing cc and especially rich and donna- highly recommend them!!!

overall, we had the most incredible day and are so grateful with everyone involved!!!

Hey! Thanks from a fellow SLCC bride! I love hearing about how helpful Donna and Rich were! They are seriously the best at what they do! Were they working at your wedding?
