2012 Bridal Shower

2012 Bridal Shower

As you can probably tell from the other boards in the past the girls from the year have thrown a bridal shower for all of the brides. I spoke with one of the girls who planned the 2010 Bridal Shower to get more information.

Basically what they did was created a committee of about 4 or 5 people. I would be more than willing to organize it and work with the committee. Each person had different responsibilities (i.e. getting prizes for raffles, booking place, etc). I know in 2010 they had the shower in October and I figured that is a good time. This way it gives us plenty of time but far enough away from the holidays.

I figured I would start to get the ball rolling. If you would like to be on the committee send me a FM.

Do each of us buy other girls stuff off their registries or its just donations from other vendors? This sounds like a fun event!!

In the past there were raffles which were donations from vendors. I do not believe that we get each other gifts and stuff. We will do a 50-50 and half will go to the winner and the other will go to a charity which will be picked. I will find out more from those who have done it in the past.

Although there is no real rules for it so we can make up our own.

You can absolutely do whatever you want, but in the past the girls have done a secret bride exchange, like a secret santa, each girl gave her registry info, we set a dollar limit and if a girl wasn't registered, she could submit 2 or 3 stores she'd like a gift card from and we exchanged gifts at the shower, it was a lot of fun
