Is a pink wedding really THAT bad?

Is a pink wedding really THAT bad?

Ok, no, I will not have anywhere near as much pink as Trista, but I was leaning toward pink tea length BM dresses, and pink rose centerpieces since they're my favorite flower. That is, until I saw that practically everyone on here had something to say about the pink. Is it really a horrible color, or is it that she just had too much, or is it a little of both? Nothing is set in stone yet, so I can still change my mind, I just don't want to regret my choice in the future.

I love pink too but Trista and Ryan's wedding was way way way overdone! A little pink is better then a lot. JMO

Pink is not bad. As it's been said already, Trista went overboard with the color. But that's what she wanted. I think what we all reacted to was that everywhere you looked was the color pink (I never knew there were so many different shades of pink!) and a little less pink may of been a little better.

Also, remember you should pick what you like. There are moments where I think about having a monochrome wedding--black, white and gray, and to a lot of people that's really depressing.

I think that pink is such a pretty color. If my wedding was any time besides the winter, my colors would be pink. I just think that Trista's wedding was a bit MUCH!!
But then again if I had that kind of $$$, I would probably be obsessive-compulsive with a theme also.

If you like pink go with it! That was a million dollar TV show, not really reality.

Nothing wrong with pink at all. Any color gets to be a bit much when it's as overdone as trista's wedding was!

Personally i think pink is a very romantic color and if you like it use it.
BUT that wedding looked like a flamingo exploded...way too much.

It is cute and I love pink myself, having the girls in pink matching tanks for the rehersal (which did not look good on all, and she gave them options for the top of their bm dresses why not the rehersal) and having guess/family stay close to the pink rule... lol

I loved seeing her grandma in pants and a red jacket (even though close to pink... it still cracked me up)

I'm glad ryan said no to the pink tie.

I like her bridesmaids dresses alot though and hers was pretty not my taste but nice.

I did think all the flowers were pretty but not for that cost but I hated the bo-k's

I absolutely love pink.. I am leaning towards that or red.. Trista just had an explosion of pink... I think it was just way too much.. not even the pink, but the flowers too.. i don't kow about everyonelse.. but I LOVE PINK, and i think it sounds beautiful..

I like pink too,,,my BM dresses are dogwood pink....(My flowers will be all shades of pink and purples.)

remember that was a $4,000,000 wedding. I doubt you will be even close to that cost (if you are, can I come )

I think pink dresses, flowers are fine...I don't personally like colored tables clothes (too sweet 16) or ties/vests (too prom like)

Go for what you like!!!!

I am doing pink. That is my favorite color. I am even thinking of doing a pink wedding cake.

I am doing exactly that! I am having adorable strapless tea lenght pink dresses and really summery pink flowers!
I think it will look really nice in the summer!

I love pink and I think it's a very romantic color - just don't do it to the extent of Trista and Ryans wedding!

Pink is NOT bad at all. Like the girls above said, Trista just did WAY TOOOO much pink.

I say go for the pink

I'm also planning on doing pink tea-length dresses for my summer wedding, as well as pink flowers! I think it will be beautiful! Luckily for my FI (or not), I don't have $4 million to go overboard with! :o)

Thanks ladies! I'm feeling so much better to know that it was the quantity of the color, and not the color itself that everyone was hating about Trista's wedding. I wasn't really a fan either, though I did love the color of her BM dresses. My budget is about 1/4 of her invitation budget alone (she spent $83k on custom invites), so even if I wanted to, I couldn't replicate her look. Even if I did have the 4 mil, my wedding would be nothing like hers.

I love pink! The more pink the better!

Pink is GORGEOUS. But not when it looks like a Pepto Bismol bottle exploded all over the room and people. I am quite certain that your wedding is going to be tastefully and beautifully done, with out the Pepto!

Pink is a great color for weddings & for summer. Especially when its a pretty shade, like a dusty rose.

Tristas was just too themed. I would have thought that if it was any color- too white, too navy, etc, if it was done like that. I did likr thr effect of the differrnt shades on thr seat covers though.
I didn't watch the whole thing, so i didn't noitce the quests were in pink too!

I was a pink MOH- and at the time in an anti pastel phase, but my cousin said pick anything pink or purple, and I found a pale pink that wasn't too pepto-bismal, and it still makes a classic picture, next to her white dress with our pink & purple flowers.

By the way, I want orange involved somehow in mine, and people probably think that's worse than pink, so I'll try not to overdo it.
