Most definitely any LINE DANCING songs!!! I hate that stuff.....

Pretty much all those, except I LOVE ABBA!!! however, no divas (except for 1 song, for mfil, she begged and we are allowing 1), no boy bands, and no awful cheese!!!

I kinda don't like Brown eyed girl either, b/c I have blue eyes. ( I know thats silly but hey...its my wedding, I'm a blue eyed girl!)

My mom kinda likes hot hot hot...I won't BAN it but if it does not play I wont be TOO upset!
I also don't want Motley Crew girls girls girls, and To Where you are by Josh Groban. Not that I don't like it, but my mom would get all upset hearing that song. I don't want any traditional Father Daughter songs either, being that I lost my dad.
Oh who let the dogs out is dumb...no britney spears or christina, no boy bands either...
FH and I really like clubby music, and I love freestyle, old school(rap and 80's), and reggae. My mom likes doowop and some of my songs like 1st and last dance are doowop songs.

See, and with the exception of only the Chicken Dance and Mambo #5, I LOVE all the stuff you guys are talking about! The only 2 things we are banning are Prince (I hate him!!) and 'Unchained Melody'. I love that song, but for some reason my sister can't hear it without bursting into hysterical tears and we don't want that.

There is actually a fast version of that song, its a doowop song and its really great! The group is Vito and the Salutations.

also.. my Dj is banned from playing any recording of me singing a song.. God knows there would be 120 - 140 people simulateneously would be bursting into tears!

These are my opinions:
Electric Slide (I'm not from Tennesse)
Rock around the clock remix (I hate this song so badly)
Who Let the dogs out (this song is SO SO SO horrid)
I Hope You Dance (I listened to this on musac so much I wished I could stick pencils in my ears, or kill the singer)
Meat Loaf (hate everything he ever did)

I know I'll pick more to ban. I won't ban the chicken dance, because my drunk best man(brother) will likely want to chant, 'The rangers suck', during it.

Any kind of group participation song...Hands Up, Chicken Dance, hokey Pokey Ughh...hate that!

Just an FYI, the DJ will be hard pressed to get people out of the seats without stupid group participation songs. I'm one that finds them really annoying, but older people seem to get up for it. (I don't mean the elderly) So you might have to keep that in mind.

You're really going to go with only house music, and old school rap? Its cool to add some of it, but you have to consider you don't want to be the only one on the dance floor.

I love the electric slide (i know...cheesy but i can't help it )
And I LOVE ABBA!!!!!!!!
