Today is my sisters 5th Wedding Anniversary...

In honor of that....

For the ladies who have had their 1st Anniversary.. what did you do? did you plan something special?

For the ladies who have yet to have it... What do you want to do? Is it something you want to make a big deal about?

We were talking about going to Cabo for our 1st Anniversary... but we are both in weddings in the spring/summer... and 1 wedding in Florida... so who knows what we will do...

we have talked about doing a big 1 year anniversary trip...i would love to go to Europe or anywhere really. but we will see what happens when the time comes...if we can take the time off work, etc.

we already ate our cake top after the honeymoon so we can't do that on our 1 year. but in Hawaii we bought a bottle of champagne at a winery in Maui so we are saving that to drink on our 1 year.

DH and I hope to go away for a very mini vacation around our anniversary every year. However, since I'll be 8 months pregnant for our 1st year ( ), we'll probably do something local!

OOOH sooo excited you asked this today!

Well, our anny was last week and we went back to the swan club to have lunch and they gave us champagne on the house and a huge red velvet cake to take home! DH bought me some charms for my pandora bracelet and a bouquet of lilies! I got him (well, us) tix to see Jets play Giants on Monday night...

Andddddd we're traveling to Cape Cod today and staying the weekend there to celebrate!!! All DH's surprise planning which is soooo unlike him so it makes it just THAT much more special!!!

we purchased time share at the resort we went to in Riviera Maya, Mexico... we wanted to go back there for our 1 year anniversary

we're taking a big trip in Sept and moving into our house soon, so i dont think we'll be taking a big trip for our anniversary.

but maybe we'll do a weekend away!

Our 1st Anniversary is on SUNDAY!!!!

at first were werent planning anything big, because we went on a family trip 2 weeks ago..and since we are broke we didnt think we should be spending lots of money...but lucky for us we came home from the cruise with a lot more money than expected!!! so we thought why not we only have 1 first anniversary...

so this weekend we are going to spend the weekend out east going to the wineries!!!! we leave on friday, and are staying at a bed and breakfast (only place that still had rooms so last min) on saturday they are having a big beer festival at martha clara and we are going to that...
sunday i hope to hit up a few local shops and maybe another winery and then off to go back home to enjoy your 1st anniversary bottle of wine (i got all different bottles of wine for different occasions at my shower) and eat our (well not ours) but the cake top that we have, and the grooms cake that was never cut at our wedding!!!

super excited since ive never been to the wineries before, and chris is super excited cuz he doesnt like wine, but we are going to a beer festival so he will enjoy too!! ahhh 2 more days of work to get thru!!!

we're thinking about going to one of the occidental hotels in mexico for like 5 days! but who knows if that will happen because 1. we're working on our house and it's draining our bank accounts 2. i'll be student teaching so i won't have a full time job and 3. we want to do 2 huge trips (1 in 3 years, 1 in 6) before we have kids so that will probably be where a lot of extra money is going

eta: for my shower, my bms got us our wine rack and 4 bottles of wine, one of which is for our first anniversary so we'll be drinking that! and TRYING to eat year old cake

We'll be heading to Milwaukee/Chicago for a long weekend. We'll do a nice dinner out on our actual anniversary.

I don't see us always going away for our anniversary, but we figured we might as well.

We have mentioned going on vacation for our 1st Anniversary. However, who knows where we will be by that point. I will hopefully be starting a new job around that time & fingers crossed DH has a full time job by then. We will have to see.

If we can't get lots of time off then maybe just a weekend getaway.

Mike wants to go to another sandals resort, like we did for our HM! He loved it so much, which was a surprise to both of us (he hates hot weather and beach). Now we just have to figure out how the heck to pay for it...

We won't be able to take a 1-year anniversary trip. BIL is getting married exactly one week before our anniversary.

We'll probably go out to a nice dinner then come home and eat our stale asss cake.

you HAVE to... everyone at SC is amazing! I felt like I was home again with how wonderfully they treated us... we hope to make a tradition out of it and go back yr after yr!

We are in the talks of going away for our 1 year, which will also be a delayed b-day gift for me since I won't get to have a big bash for the big 30 with everything going around my b-day.

our 1 year anni. will be on EASTER DAY nextt year!! we are hoping to have everyone over our house -- it will be the first holiday we are celebrating in our apartment (since there is no way we will be 'ready' in time to do anything for turkey day or christmas). so that is for family.....


for us alone... we are hoping to go to greece next summer (hey, its part of the sandcastle deal, so why not use it) to celebrate.
