I must be getting my period but I am getting so sad looking at all of these awesome trips you all have planned! Obviously, I am excited for you ladies, but I SO wish that DH and I could afford a nice vacation. Are we the only poor bastids out here?

I;m with you Lauren. DH opened up his own business at the beginning of the year and we have no time or money to go anywhere. I am envious of all going on trips!

Im with you in the middle of returning the keys yesterday the Sandcastle was calling to confirm our trip to Greece needless to say we never bought the tickets because of our situation. So our big vacation will be to Jones Beach this summer!!!

Honestly, the rate things are going I won't believe we're going to Greece until I step foot off the plane. Nothing has been booked, and I'm afraid by the time DH gets around to wanting to move on it, all the nice places will be sold out.

I'm going on vacation but I don't know if I'm going with DH.
I have a trip booked to Disney with my mom, her BFF and my sister for May.
DH has two weeks off in April. One of the weeks is a 'must work' week for me because of trials coming up. I keep trying to pin him down for the second week but he's noncommital.
If we do anything that week, it'll probably be another Disney week because it's a cheap option for us. DH's sister works in corporate for them so we don't pay for passes into the parks and I own a timeshare in Disney.

That's the thing ang..we both teach privatley do after school clubs and I have another part time job and we STILL can't go! Darn student loans do us in!

That stinks! We have no student loans. I always knew I was going to be a public school teacher in NYC so I figured I'd save my parents money and stay home and go to Queens College.
Not sure how much else we're going to do once we buy this house and start redoing things but we've been dying to go to Europe and hopefully by next summer we'll either be pregnant or have a baby so we figured this was the only summer to do it!

I really shouldnt be...but our vacation has been booked since last year.. my dad is a volunteer fire fighter in new hyde park, and they usually go on a trip every year for members and wives....this year its their 100th anniversary so they are doing this huge cruise and opening it to friends and extended family members so basically my whole family is going..
and...my daddy paid for us(cuz his and my mom are free...(i know im a spoiled brat) but they wanted us to go!! LOL
cant complain i guess
if it werent for that DH and i would no way in hell be going on a vacation this year!! just getting together money for spending on the cruise is going to be hard!!

As of now its just our annual trip with DH's family to Lake George, but I'm not sure if I will be able to go just yet-I'm not working right now and by then if I get a job I'm not sure if I will be able to take off

Yeah i understnd..unfortunately though, there aren't that many quality music education programs so I went where I would get the best education I could for my career. Europe sounds great!
