as far as having kids go? I want a baby so badly! Not like an aww a kid would be such a cute accessory type of thing but a real I'm ready to start a family thing. I'd like to wait until the summer to start trying - DH is like, we'll see. What do you mean we'll see? It stinks because I obviously want him to be with me on this decision - it's not like I can do it alone! It's been making me really sad lately! Do you and your DH agree about when is the right time? Please tell me I'm not the only one in this position!

We're actually in our third cycle of trying (started on our HM) and yes we were on the same page. We've both always wanted to start a family on the younger side.

We both think we should wait at least 5 years, but I go through moods where I want to have a baby. I really want to have a family with DH, but I also think I'm too young and have too much I need to get through first. I think DH sometimes, though, would want to wait longer if he could. I guess for now it doesn't matter since we're not planning on doing anything. But when the time comes I hope that we are on the same page.

Totally we were so ready to be parents. We figured everything else was in place & we are settled financially & with homes. Unfortunately, we lost the baby at 9.5 weeks but didnt find out until our 12 week sonogram (which was last Monday) so its been a whirlwind of a week for us. But, we are doing so much better now. It was God's will & we will blessed with a healthy child soon enough. But to answer your Q - we are very ready. So good luck to u!

We're definitely on the same page-we want to be preggo by next fall/early winter-but if it happened sooner it would be a blessing.
The only thing we disagree on is when to go off BCP's. He thinks you can get pregnant immediately whereas I think it takes a while.
Oh well, at least the bigger picture is the same.

DH and I actually just got into an argument about this this afternoon so I totally know where you are coming from. I really want to have a baby now but we decided it would be best to start trying next summer. While DH says he is fine with that, he just kind of seems blah about it. I don't expect him to be swooning over the idea of having a baby but it would be nice if he showed some enthusiasm about it once in a while!

All I read about on LIF is girls waiting to regulate off of BCPs...I just went off them this month so I figure (fingers crossed) six months until we're TTC should hopefully be enough to get regular. We just started using condoms again and I REALLY can't see that lasting until the summer! Plus I'm sure I'll be a raging biatch when it comes to getting my period so hopefully that will make DH want me to get pregnant sooner!

We are going off the pill after my current cycle finishes in 2 weeks. My doctor said it takes on average 6 months to get pregnant. HOWEVER, since DH and I are about to turn 31 and 35, it could definitely take longer....or it could happen in like a month.. We're never gonna really be 'trying' I hope it happens and comes as an awesome surprise. Those TTC boards on LIF are really informative but are scary too. I had no idea women go through so much to get PG!
