changing ur name..wanna laugh

okay so gina's post about SS cards reminded me to tell you this!

SOOOOO i still haven't changed my SS card
and my work still calls me by my maiden name so my ID badge and my paychecks are all in 'Owens'

sooo DH refuses to call me 'Mrs. Miller ' ...so when he talks to me or trys to get my attentions he will Miss Owens

and i'll go ' my name is Miller'

he goes the day your paycheck says Miller I will call you Miller


...okay so DH said this to me for the first time back in like February....

its July...

its still Owens

i fel you..if i dont do it now i will never lol

get on it girl! It's been over a year!

Though this makes me feel a little better about not going to the DMV or doing my passport yet.

yeah well i can't even do SS till august anyway...after filing our taxes i had to wait 6 months to change my name not to mess anything up w/ the gov't!

I have the opposite issue. I'm not changing my name - the only thing that is in my married name is our verizon bill. Oh and I had to hyphenate on the health insurance in order to be covered under his .

So the other day we get a piece of mail and it's addressed to Mrs. M________.

Him: 'who's Mrs. M_________?'
My reply: 'I am'
Him: 'no you're not - you're Mrs. S_____'
Me: 'No technically that's my stepmother. I'm Ms. S________'
Him: 'Why can't you just be Gina S________?' I don't know you as Mrs. M_______'
