Ok, no biggie but I'm a little disappointed. Wanted to send a cute pic of DH & I with our Santa hats on as our Christmas cards. Mainly because I have thank you's to write out this weekend and I really didn't want to have to write out Christmas cards on top of that. But he thinks sending out another picture of us on top of the thank you pics would be too much. And then he saw how disappointed I was so he said ok let's do it. But now I don't want to do it if he doesn't really like the idea, you know? So think I'm just going to send cards to whoever sends us one.

Why dont you do caricature cards from vistaprint? I can udnerstand why he'd feel that way because you did just send out photo ty's. Its a guy thing. women tend to love pics but most men are minimalists.
What you can do is maybe send a photo of you guys to the people you're close to within the card; the people you know would appreciate it. Thats what I'd do. That way you both get your way.

We should be ordering our TY cards soon so I know I'll have a ton of cards to write out - no way I was going to write out Christmas cards too!
We did a photo card for this reason. For us, we used a b/w pic from the wedding that is totally different pose-wise and background-wise than our TY pics. Also, since people have been asking to see pics from the wedding, we figure this would be a nice preview for them. Then they'll get TY's some time in mid-late January.

My DH refuses to do any sort of photo Christmas cards...he thinks they're 'cheesy'. I've come to terms with this. lol

Vistaprint but I actually eexported the one for helens hubby into another program to make it look more like him. I did the same with our TY cards cause one of my cats didn't quite look right with only their options.
ETA: I really think you should do what makes you happiest helen. He prob just shared his opinion but I doubt he honestly cares much. He wants you to be happy and if photo carsd will make you happy of course he wnats to do them. Guys are just odd.

I love Jenn's idea w/ the caricatures!!! and that will probably be 'less girly' to your DH. My DH definitely would not want to do photo cards either, that's why I'll just be writing them out! and then doing thank you's in a month or two...not looking forward to it!

Thanks for all the thoughts, girls. I'll see tonight which way he wants to go. We have to hurry whatever we're doing. I told him if we're handwriting he's doing most of them :)
