For those who look a lot younger than they are...

Do you ever feel like people dont take you seriously when you say your DH is your husband. At the hospital, I told the security guard I was going in to see my husband and he looked at me like I was lying. I feel like carrying around my marriage certificate sometimes to shut people up. And a lot of times when I say 'my husband' peoples first reactions are 'HOW OLD ARE YOU?' Its so annoying...Vent over

I look a lot younger than I am... but sadly, I'm old enough in that the younger age that I look isn't too young to be married

Yes - we both feel like that and I'm 33 and he's 43!! Hey - we see it as a compliment!

CMON I know this happens to other people. And to make matters worse, the orderly said he thought I was his sister. I think I have to divorce him now...

Yes happens to me all the time. People will look at me and be like omg you're married. They nearly fall out of the chair when I tell them for almost 3 years lol.

To make matters worse when I was trying on my wedding dress someone asked me if I was going to my prom
Apparently now a days they wear full bridal gear to proms

I went to an oral surgeon to have a tooth pulled and when the assistant came in she asked me if my parents were here because they needed parental consent before they started.....i was like 'wha? I'm 26 years old!' She was so embarrassed that she looked at my file again and then saw that I was married.

Ok, maybe I don't look 26 but I surely do NOT look younger than 18

No one ever believes I'm 26. I've gotten as young as 16 - that's insulting haha.

I get that allllllll the time!!!!!!!! But I really find it veryy flattering I would of course not be flattered if they were skeptical at the hospital to let you see your husband- so I hear ya on that! But yeah- I love peoples reactions when they ask how many room mates I have (I live in the city, and I feel like EVERYONE either has multiple roomies or is living with a signifcant other) and I say- I live with my husband- their jaw drops! Love it!

I know how you feel…. Although I am already 30, I have had some experiences. Two weeks ago, we went to A.C, we went to sit at a table and the dealer asked me how old I was, I said 30, and DH said yes, she is my wife, but she wouldn’t believe us and asked me for ID. Once she took the I.D she even asked me what year I was born while holding my I.D.

The worst part is that I have an 11 y/o daughter who is starting to grow so much she looks like she is my sister, and about a week ago, we went to a wake and it was mostly people that know MIL… it happened twice that she introduced him and the person immediately said without giving him a chance to introduce me “ and these are your daughters, right? . I felt so bad, but both were senior citizens, I’m sure DH doesn’t look that old he is only 40 (10 years older) is just that now that our daughter is growing so much it doesn’t look like I could be the mother and people assume we are sisters

Happens all the time. I got the double take last week when I went for an interview and told them that I didn't need a parking permit since my husband dropped me off.

I get carded all the time for cigs and I think they really thinks i'm showing them a fake ID.

My favorite incidents occured while I was working for CPS. Imagine trying to talk to a parent about whether they beat their kids and and you look their child's age

I have so many funny stories about this ...

I have had customers as me what GRADE I'm in. Someone who wasn't much older than me.

I'm 30. Its been a long long time since I was in a grade!

DH & I were once in Best Buy looking at digital cameras. We had split up around the display because we were looking at different makes & models, but were working with the same salesman. So after talking to DH, he came over to me ... and said 'Like I was just telling your FATHER ... '

And one of those carnival 'guess your age within 5 years' guys told me to just go get my prize after he wrote down his guess, and I told him how old I was. He threw away his little paper ... I insisted on knowing what he guessed. He claimed to have guessed I was ELEVEN!

I get this from time to time. DH gets it all the time. No one believes he is 33. I say take it as the compliment it honestly is. When you're 40 you will kiss the peopel that think you look 30.

Yes. DH thinks it's funny when I get proofed at the bar and he doesn't. He feels like people think he is a creepy guy who is into younger girls!

I got the all time record EVER when Jen said I looked 12 . Now THATS really bad!!!!

When we went for tuxes the guy thought it was for my prom. I teach in a hs and for the first month i got stopped for a hall pass. As if thats not bad enough the other day i was buying some houseware stuff in walmart and the woman though i was going off to college.
