Girls night???

Original post by Mrs. V 2008

Are you less inclined to go out with the girls now that your married. The girls are having a 'girls night' but I have no motivation to go...Do you feel this way at times? I don't know why but I'd rather be at home with the hubby!

I think I'd rather stay home because I'm lazy! But most of my GF's are single, and they have a different mindset than I do when it comes to going out. They like to go out and whoop it up at clubs and such. I'm more of a dinner party girl, or go out to a restaurant and catch up over dinner and drinks.

Thats exactly how my friends are!! I think when I first posted this so many people thought I just don't have any desire to hang out with my friends which is totally false. But I'm hesitant to go out with them because 'bar hopping and clubbing' is all they do!

Try meeting them for coffee or dessert at a trendy place. Astoria is perfect for that.

I wish they would do something like that! But most of the time they won't...dinner and coffee is just not them!

Re: Girls night???

Nothing has really changed in terms of when we go out on our own. I still have nights with my friends on a regular basis and DH has his interests separate from me. He recently went to Chicago to visit his friends for the weekend without me. I spent the weekend doing 'girlie' things.

We've always said that it was important for us to maintain our relationships outside of our marriage. As much as we love being together, we can't forget our friends.

Girl's night or a night out with friends is always good but I do feel less inclined to do it lately. Most of my close frineds are married and have 1 or 2 kids, we still try to see each other but it's def. not as often as we used to when we were single.

I just went out to dinner last night with friends/former co-workers without DH and I missed being at home with him a lot. That being said I had a good time with my friends, we hadn't been able to get together for a long time and it was good just to sit and laugh and have good conversation with them.
