We saved ours, the box took up almost half of our freezer and when we took it out for our anniversary the cake itself was so much smaller than the box!!! lol! It was so much wasted space! And it tasted HORRIBLE booooo. We definitely didn't pack it up right. Note to future brides - you should cellophane wrap it with a few layers, then put aluminum foil over it. Should taste good if you do that. Or do what Melissa did and put it in a freezer bag.

I am going to order a replica for our anniversary bc I know that ours will taste gross. It is a piece of cake and it is covered but inside the box. Not freezer bags nor cellophane

I threw mine out.

I am not sentimental at all, and chucked it.

If i want another cake at my one year i will have a fresh one made up

We have to wrap ours tonight actually. I am cutting two pieces from it first though because it was so friggin amazing. Carrot cake like I have never had before - OMG.

Hey Yelley why don't you ask to save the top layer from TWOTY, then you can eat that on your anniversary????

We didn't save it....we ate it. We were having so much fun out on the dance floor that we didn't even finish the main course. We only got a bite of the cake and DH loved it so we took it back to the bridal suite and ate it the next day before leaving for our honeymoon.

Debi and Fred's top layer met it's demise, I think on the way home, so Debi ate it. I saved my top layer, way back in the olden days, and it tasted yukky from freezer burn. Mary MOB

We ate it that week. Our cake guy will make us a replica for our 1 year. I love cake and year old cake just doesn't do it for me!!

The hall said they packed it up but for some reason no one ever found it

I think one of my little cousin's found it and ate it! But, its ok i will just order a cake for our 1yr anniversary.

I did and I regret it. We waited a whole year and it was completely freezer burned. I even wrapped in in seran wrap and tinfoil and boxed it up. If I can give any one adivice, I would say save it to your 1 month anniversary and then enjoy. I regret wasting that big beautiful and yummy top layer!

we saved ours but only for a few months... we were married in June and ate it on Thanksgiving w/ our familes.

I'm a sentimental mush! Its in our freezer and its so hard not to touch it! I hope its OK in a year -- we wrapped it up pretty well. My sister did it, and said it was good!

We tried to save it in the freezer but we needed the room...so we ate it We plan to go back to the bakery that baked it on our anniversary and have a mini-cake made in the same style and flavors
