We saved it, wrapped in saran wrap and in the box. Then, we schlepped that thing all over Pennsylvania on our anniv weekend (2 weeks ago). We borrowed thermal bags from my mom (she's got the big ones), drove to my Aunt's house, started the thaw in her fridge, then brought it to the hotel the next night, leaving it in the thermal bags with some ice.

When we opened it Sunday morning, the box was soaked.

All I could think was, 'I am gonna be so pissed if I kept this thing for a year and lugged it all over PA just to have to throw it out now.....screw it, I dont' care if it's wet, I'm eating at least one bite.'

Fortunately, the wrap held, and it actually tasted ok. Not a bad breakfast.

I didn't, but I would have liked to have tried. We're OOT although we got married in LI. We left for the honeymoon the next day so it wasn't possible. I ended up hoovering a lot of the top layer the night of the wedding and before leaving. Yum!
