how often do you and DH go out to dinner??

DH and I rarely go out to eat. DH loves to cook so we either make something together or we pick up food from my MIL's when we get home late.

We rarely go out anymore - we do one dinner date night a month and go out to eat which is nice. The other nights I cook, I try to cook for two days worth to make it easier. Then sometimes we'll order a pizza from Dominos (like 2 or 3 times a month and it's only like $15 so it's not bad).

When I'm tired, I just make pasta. And we buy a lot of cooked, ready to heat chicken (like popcorn chicken and bourbon chicken). Just literally take out of the freezer, put on a cookie sheet and heat in the oven for like 20 minutes. With some mashed potatos, rice, or pasta it's great and so easy.

SAme here, because we realized we were spending soooo much between my buying lunch in the city which isOBSECENE, and his buyong food when he is on the road AND us going out to dinner twice a week.

So now we cooke on the weeknds and I usually cook during the week. if I don't feel likr i Imake grillef cheese sandwiches or somehting.. OR pancakes for dinner!

I just came back from buying groceries for tonight's dinner. $25. Not including stuff for salad...which we already have. Groceries are DARN expensive (yup...I think 2X the price of groceries anywhere else) in NYC.

Often it's cheaper just to eat out (in NYC). Chinese is a lot cheaper (but liposuction would even that cost out)...pizza too. Subway was our best $$ saving dinner. We have to start that again...

We go out for wings with friends on Monday nights and then out for a nice dinner once a month or so.

Saving for the wedding got us out of the habit of eating out a lot, so we cook in more often. Cheaper and healthier!

we usually go out on either Friday or Saturday night, and then maybe once during the week we'll pick up Chipotle or something like that....it's hard with DH's schedule to plan out cooking a nice meal, so I've been making a lot of Rachael Ray's 30 minute meals, that way in the time it takes him to drive home from base, I can have dinner ready.

i totally appreciate going out to eat now though, and I wish we could do it more because it is soooooo nice to get a break from cooking!

1 or 2 times per week.

But we try to take lunch with us from home. It's so expensive to buy lunch (at least $8 per person), so DH makes something for us as much as possible.

we are just terrible.. and we must be wasting so much money on going out all the time..

our problem is... i go grocery shopping so i buy all the dinners for the week.. (meats, etc)
BUT the night before we always forget to take it out of the freezer to defrost... we dont do this all the time.. but at least 2x a week, sometimes more

THEN we would just say.... oh screw it , lets go out and get something...

We are the same way, we waste so much money on eating out and on veggies going bad because I don't end up making them. DH tracks everthing we spend and every year it's the same thing, we look at the spreadsheet and think 'how the *$%& did we spend that much on eating out???'
