I beg the Newlyweds....HM help!

To cut cost, we are thinking of doing something close to home (Poconos??) that we could drive to OR (a big OR) a less expensive warmer climate (I was told the Dominican REpublic was cheap).....I remember a thread on a resort that you girls were using for anniversaries up in Vt or something??? Anyone have ideas? PRETTY PLEASE

The DR is cheap, but I really wouldn't travel there, if you were going to spend the money you are better off with Puta cana. Also if you are getting married in march you might not want a cold climate (I live upstate) and if it snows you might not beable to get to it. You might want to drive south instead or fly to Florida that is cheap, lots of nice and inexpensive things to do there.

I don't know how much you're willing to spend. I think the DR is a good idea, there are some really good all-inclusive deals too. Some of the smaller resorts in the Bahamas are not that expensive. I've gotten good deals from sky auction too.

I love Paradise Stream in the Poconos! It is one of the Ceasars Resorts. Only about a 2 hour drive from LI.
It is a small resort. Very intimate & romantic. Fireplaces, Jacuzzis etc.
