1. The morning of my wedding, I would not change my hair from the way I had it done at my trial.

2. Worn my veil higher.

3. Remembered to bring the ring pillow I made, to the church!

4. Pick a slower song to dance with my Mom too, so she wouldn't fall and break her arm again!

5. Take a few minutes at the reception to step back with DH and take it all in.

6. Larger flowers in my bo-k.

I almost forgot! I would never have it at the Yacht Club again

I would have insisted on being able to attend my cocktail hour

I would have had the receiving line outiside of the door of the location where our ceremony was

I would have used a different limo company

I would have ignored my drunk bridesmaid instead of getting involved and crying

I would have made different faces while I was dancing because the pictures don't lie - I can be funny looking!!!

this is going to sound nuts the only thing i would do differently is have my florist come back to teh ahll before the wedding and fix teh gazebo.. There was a misunderstsnding and i so do belive it was my fault about how i wanted teh gazebo decortated when i got there before teh wdding ( we took all pics before ao i was there early) i saw it they called the florist and she offered to come back and i was like no its ok b/c i felt it was my mistakeand i dont liek how it looked in all my ceremony pics, take alook.....
see teh tulle in teh back t was suppose to be in teh front. UGHH how i regret it!!!

Would have had a smaller BP, less stress. Got to eat the CH food , eloped.LOL ! My friends all advised me not to have a big wedding and I always wanted one well now that I lived and breathed it for 2 years of planning, the engagement would have been shorter or I would have run off to a tropical island and eloped. I am so happy I am done with all the planning now my 2 BIL's are getting married and they are so stressed out, I am glad it is not me, I do not miss it.

I would have let my MIL wear the white gown with mini-train that she wanted because SHE created the misery to begin with...

What??????

Yes, she wanted to wear a gown that was called 'pale blue' but LOOKED white to me. And, the 'fabric in the back' flowed on the floor, and it had beaded that started at her knee area and came down and around 'the fabric in the back'.

I didn't say a word to her about it, but DH saw the look of horror on my face and told her to change the gown. So, she complained INCESSANTLY to anyone who would listen to her. Even in the car on the way to my bridal shower. So, that caused her 2 nieces to get pissed at me. They were both bridesmaids. One tried to remain neutral, but the other one turned into the bridesmaid from hell and there were SO MANY nasty, terrible things that she did because she was trying to 'avenge' her aunt...

Oh Hun...you don't deserve that

1) i would have chosen a different dress
(but nothing i can do about it now, so i rationalize my choice everytime i look at a wedding picture!).

2) i would have used a different hairdresser (one who would not make me CRY on my wedding day!).

I would've had a much much smaller bridal party!

Re: If you could do it all over again ...

The only thing that I remember saying I would change would be that I would pay to add an extra hour to my reception. We were all still having so much fun when the party was over.
I would have picked and met with my DJ/MC before the wedding. I was not happy with who I got from Tommy Tunes but everyone still danced and had a blast so that's the most important thing.
I may have made a couple of changes to the bridal party but nothing that haunts me.
Overall I was happy with how things turned out. It was truly the best day of my life and I really have no regrets except that it all went by so fast and to us it was worth every penny. We look back and think wow we could have no more student loans if we didn't have our wedding but we still say it was all worth it and we'll be debt free soon enough.

I would have had a MUCH SMALLER bp... instead of 6 bms I would have only had my sister as my MOH. Thats IT. the rest were all useless anyway.

I probably would have eloped on a beach somewhere 2 years ago instead of having to have a 2 year engagement and not be able to spend any $$$ for 2 whole years.

I would have ordered the bm dress I FELL IN LOVE WITH on the spot instead of thinking about it for a week and when I went back to order it, it was discontinued

More time inbetween ceremony and cocktail hour for pictures!

I would have gone with another florist. The flowers were good but the attitude I could have done without.

Everything else was perfect that day. All the little things that people did that were annoying easily slide off my back because everything was so perfect !!! My DH was there and the weather was absolutely amazing !!!

70 degrees with no humidity on August 6th!! Absolutely unheard of !!!

I would not have talked DH into choosing his brother as Best Man. He was a terrible Best Man from the moment he chose him. And his toast was awful.

But other than that, everything was incredible and just as I planned.

I would have (should have) stuck to my guns and insisted on a small wedding.

We wish we would of been able to eat more at cocktail hour. I wish DH and I did not fight as much as we did during the planning because of ILs and MIL complaining about everything we were doing.

Re: If you could do it all over again ...

I actually had just a wonderful wedding day, so I cannot say I'd change much ..even the bad or annoying things that happened I wouldn't change because that just kind of what made the day 'unique' so to speak...

What I wish I could change MOST is how sick and stressed I made myself in the months leading up to the wedding - all about silly things , demands from families, money, details. I was nearly hospitalized, was always sick, was a bundle of nerves, and it took such a toll on my relationship with my then FH because we just found no enjoyment in ANYTHING since life revolved around planning the wedding

I also wished I'd eaten at my cocktail hour! I swore I would too, and made it a point to to attend our cocktail hour and mingle with our guests.. which we did .. but by the time I actually got a plate of food and sat down, they were calling us to line up for the introductions If I hear one more time how awesome the food was that I didn't even have ONE BITE OF ..

ON a more superficial level, I would have lost those last 10 pounds and worked out more (OK I know that sounds dumb and silly and so superficial .. i know..but that's just the way I am about my appearance, very self-critical and insecure) . I also wish I'd done my hair slightly different. My hairstylist was amazing and I loved her .. she followed my directions perfectly - but in retrospect I should have done my bangs differently or pulled all my hair of my face - there are pictures where I just look 'messy' and I'm really annoyed at that evertime I see it - I WISH someone would have told me 'Felicia fix your hair' becuase it bugs me to no end!!!

As for the reception, there were a few things that went wrong that I noticed but nooone else did, so they are hardly a blip on the radar anymore - my centerpieces were never given away properly, certain things weren't exactly displayed the way i wanted them to be .. but it still looked lovely nonetheless

But it still was a perfect day on a whole and I cannot say I'd really change anything else on a larger scale!

I know I have told you this in the past, but i loved your hair. From all the pictures I have seen of your wedding day, I think you look so classy and elegant.

We went to Duet yesterday and Nicole showed us an example of the layout we would recieve in a month. It was so weird because the layout pictures were so many brides I know from here (you, Julie, Lauren, one of our pictures and so many more), I felt like I was looking at all friends.

Re: If you could do it all over again ...

We would have chosen a different rabbi- we had a rabbi and a priest.....the priest was great but the rabbi was sick or on cold medicine and he forgot DH's name that morning! Also, we wrote out our ceremony and he PROMISED to read it word for word. Then, at the last minute he DIDN'T. He said it was too long- I was like, that isn't what you have been saying the past three months!!! It was clear that he was out of it from medicine and at that point i just wanted to get married!! That is the only thing I regret- we put so much into the ceremony, and, in the end, it's the most important part!!! Oh well. I try and tell myself that there really was no way to prevent that from happening but still....maybe one day we will renew our vows and use the ceremony we wrote!

Also, would have chosen a hair lady who actually showed up!! (She was arrested for drunk driving the night before!) She ruined the time before the wedding when it was supposed to be fun with the girls getting ready! In the end we found someone to do my hair at the last minnute and she was great- but really, I could've have done without the last minute stress that morning!!

Anyway, everthing else was perfect!!!
