1. got a video. This really isn't a regret per se, since I knew going in that I wanted one. DH is the one who said that he didn't want it, and insisted on it. I still wish (and probably always will) that I could have convinced him to hire a videographer

2. spend more time with OOT guests. my family came from all over the country to be there for our wedding and I barely had a chance to talk to them for 5 minutes at the wedding.

3. re-applied lipstick more often. even though former brides posted how important this was, and I did re-apply quite often, it apparently wasn't often enough and it shows in the reception pics.

4. eaten more CH food. that's the best food at any wedding and I only had a taste of some of some items.

all in all, my wedding was amazing and I have very few regrets. the biggest one I suppose is the video.

1. Hired someone else to do my hair (If you read my review, my hair person was a no show and didn't call until 2:00 in the afternoon)

2. EAT SOMETHING!!!!

That's really the ONLY thing I would have done differently. As unorganzied and chaotic as the Crest Hollow was on my wedding day, none of my guests noticed what was going on, and my wedding was absolutely beautiful!

Different DJ all the way. The guests didn't know, which is a good thing, but DH & I knew of all the mistakes, which upset us a good part of the wedding.

All in all with the exception of the DJ...we had the most amazing day of our lives.

I would have...
- hired different video guy
- used BK florist for CPs, too
- invited more people that I was on the fence about
- did more research before hiring another important vendor
- ate appetizer
- encouraged DH to encourage more people to go to the church
- kept my shrug on for at least some of the reception
- found someone to read the prayer of the faithful instead of leaving it up to the priest

1. had a videographer
2. actually looked at the food and the set up of the room
3. reapplied my lipstick because if i recall, i don't think i did it once..
4. stopped to realize that it was my wedding day..it went by way too quickly!!

I would never, ever ask SIL to be a bridesmaid.

I wouldn't cry before I walked down the aisle (thank you, MIL, for trying to ruin my day).

I would not RACE down the aisle with my dad.

eta -- I would have asked that my bouquet be done with only stephanotis
eta again -- Different photographer. Spent too much for the most blah pictures.

Make more rounds to my guests- I just feel like the night went too fast . . .

Got married in a different month so that I could have worn my hair down.

Lost more weight

Other than that- it was PERFECTION!

As I look back at the pics, my hair could have been better.

I wish I took more time getting dressed. We were running late and I just threw the dress on. I would have loved getting ready pics.

Some of DH's family didn't make it to the wedding and called the night before to tell me!!!

DH's brother flew in with his family and we ended up eating at Friendly's the night before the wedding because that's the only thing the kids would like.

I would have done black and white photos so I could have some in my album. What was I thinking?

Had my Father and FIL get no-glare glasses. The photographer made them take off their glasses for almost all the formal photos and they don't look like themselves!!

As of right now, the only thing I would have done differently is not allowed one of my sisters, who refused to be in the wedding that day, to have her make up and hair professionally done. I would have made her go to the wedding as is, since she decided at 1:30 PM that she wanted to be a part of it. She made us late to the church and completely threw us off schedule, which really upset me.

Other than that, I loved every minute of it and wouldn't change it

Three things:

Different hair stylist

Different photographer

Would have taken photos before the ceremony to give us more outdoor shots and more time at the cocktail hour.

Major regret: I would have chosen the hall I had my heart set on, instead of worrying about how many guests to invite. My first choice was more expensive, so instead I chose a hall that was cheaper so I could invite more people. I underestimated how many people would not come and my guest count was perfect for me to have it in the more expensive hall.

Would have rethought my favors. Although my guests raved about having the fresh bagels for breakfast the next morning, I would have preferred to take the easy way out and gotten a traditional favor.

Only other minor regret is my hairstyle. Although I wanted it down, because of the tiara it would have looked better up.

Re: If you could do it all over again ...

I wish my wedding cake was nicer, but it wasn't the end of the world. It was the one thing I was disappointed about with the Carlyle. The dessert cafe made up for it.

I wish it was warmer out so I could take more pictures outdoors. Obviously I have no control over that. I ended up taking some pics outdoors anyway and I ended up getting sick for my honeymoon.

I wish my husband and I said our own vows which we had written to each other. He was afraid of getting too emotional in front of everyone. I think that's kind of nice to get a little emotional on your wedding day. I wish I didn't hold back my emotions the day of.

I was a little disappointed with my photos but it sounds like a lot of people were.

One thing I am glad I did and highly recommend is Video!
