I would have chosen a different photographer

1) Would have mustered up the balls to kick out one of the BM's who turned into a nightmare, and have since not spoken to, and instead asked a good, close friend to take her place. I know she's still a little hurt that she wasn't a BM, though she knows she was my 'honorary' BM

2) Not let my brother sucker me into getting a band that cost $4000 instead of just sticking with the DJ. We really couldn't afford it, and I don't think the band made THAT much of a difference.

3) Used a different caterer. They screwed up everything, especially the vegan plates. My vegan guests didn't get to eat!

I also wish I'd done my hair slightly different. My hairstylist was amazing and I loved her .. she followed my directions perfectly - but in retrospect I should have done my bangs differently or pulled all my hair of my face - there are pictures where I just look 'messy' and I'm really annoyed at that evertime I see it - I WISH someone would have told me 'Felicia fix your hair' becuase it bugs me to no end!!!

I know I have told you this in the past, but i loved your hair. From all the pictures I have seen of your wedding day, I think you look so classy and elegant.

We went to Duet yesterday and Nicole showed us an example of the layout we would recieve in a month. It was so weird because the layout pictures were so many brides I know from here (you, Julie, Lauren, one of our pictures and so many more), I felt like I was looking at all friends.

Tara, you always say the sweetest things.. thank you!! Its nice to hear an objective opinion especially when I know I'm my own worst critic

Because of all the stress involved and the fact that there are things you have no control over... like the MC & DJ you book not showing up.... I would have had a weddingmoon!!! Seriously I was so jealous of the couples I saw getting married on the beach, while we were honeymooning in St. Lucia!!! Probably a lot less stressful than planning a big wedding.

The only thing, I would have done differently, is when I walked down the isle with my dad, I would have walked slower, we practly ran (I don't know if it was me or him, probably both of us). We were at the alter and they were still playing Here Comes the Bride... opps.

Also, I would have held onto my ring barriers pillow and given it to him right before he walk down the isle, since my sister in law forgot it . I also, would have had (if I could) an engagement party with family and friends instead of the immedate family. My Friend his wife had a party with friends and family and made out very well and had a blast. Unfortunatly, my parents didn't have the money.

I would also not have listened to my DH and picked a different photographer. She was ok, but she only took like two close ups, if that and in some pictures, I look like my back is huched over!

But other than that I had an awesome time and a perfect day, the actual wedding was perfect!

I would have put my foot down about attending our CH. My DH and I REALLY wanted to be there but pictures goot way out of control. My Mother still complains that we don't have enough family shots though

I would have........

1. relax and learn to enjoy my day instead of fussing over all of the things that went wrong.

2. slept the night before.

3. had my baker make me a sample cake to ensure it was going to look like the picture i gave them.

4. choosen a different limo co.

5. Never came home from my honeymoon.

I had practically the same hair style except mine was was parted a little differently. Almost exact, that is funny. I had the same 3 pins in the front and six floating pearls in the back and top of my curls. Yours look really pretty.

Knowing what I know now....I'd pick a different photographer. I love our album, but I didn't get the type of pictures that I've always dreamed of. They weren't photojournalistic enough, and there just weren't enough really really good, 'wow' pictures. Raissa, don't worry - I'm very picky about photography!

I'd ask the hairdresser to use the curling iron on the bottom of my hair. Since I wore my veil all night, the only part of my hair that you could see was the bottom and it was just my natural loose curl - kinda plain.

I'd take a class in Photoshop (now that I have Photoshop) so that my programs and menus would've come out much better! I'm SO jealous of the some of the stuff that the girls on here have done!

I'd put more thought into the flowers. I loved all of the flowers but I wish I'd been more creative, especially with my bouquet.

I'd be more dilligent about making sure I had lipstick on and powdering my face! In so many pictures I had no lipstick on because DH had kissed it all off (not that kissing is a bad thing ) and my face is all shiny too

Oh no, I can't be stressed out about another vendor. Thanks for all your help with them. Your pictures are beautiful though. Did you have a must have photo list?

There's nothing to be stressed out at all about! I was under a time crunch when I picked my photographer. I think I made a good choice, but if I'd had more time I would've gone with someone else. You will love your pictures!
Yes, I had a must have photo list. I actually also gave him a list of pictures that I DIDN'T want him to take

I would have let my MIL wear the white gown with mini-train that she wanted because SHE created the misery to begin with...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What??????
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes, she wanted to wear a gown that was called 'pale blue' but LOOKED white to me. And, the 'fabric in the back' flowed on the floor, and it had beaded that started at her knee area and came down and around 'the fabric in the back'.

I didn't say a word to her about it, but DH saw the look of horror on my face and told her to change the gown. So, she complained INCESSANTLY to anyone who would listen to her. Even in the car on the way to my bridal shower. So, that caused her 2 nieces to get pissed at me. They were both bridesmaids. One tried to remain neutral, but the other one turned into the bridesmaid from hell and there were SO MANY nasty, terrible things that she did because she was trying to 'avenge' her aunt.

OMG!!! Suven ... What is wrong with these people? ... How can they be so mean!!
My first instinct is to move far far away and see them as little as possible!! Yeesh...
How else will you be able to live a sane life... Good Luck, I mean it!

Re: If you could do it all over again ...

I would have done a few things differently

1) DIFFERENT PHOTOGRAPOHER for sure!!

2) When the photographer would not take the list I made of pics I wanted i should have taken it myself or had one of my sisters take it to make sure we got all we wanted. There are a lot of missing pictures of DH family

3) I would have said soemthing about the candlesticks on my reception tables that I did not request. When I look at the pictures and see them all crooked I get so annoyed.
