Is anyone's Dh too....

...affectionate.....Ok. Dont kill me for this one.

My DH LOVES me. He shows it each day in his touch..I actually have to run sometimes from...nookie.....gasp... Calls me 3 Tx a day from work and actually argues to come home and cook dinner for us (we have a daughter).

I think he is the sweetest guy I ever met but sometimes I need my space and I think it hurts his feelings. I guess I shouldnt complain..but sometiems I do need my space. My friends think I am crazy for having an issue with too much affection especailly after 7 years together but thats just how I am..I wouldnt leave because of it..I love him and there could be worse problems..But...still......

Re: Is anyone's Dh too....

DH isn't overly affectionate in front of people, and he's more verbal than physical.

Re: Is anyone's Dh too....

Dont get me wrong..I adore the affection but sometimes it can be too much. But I appreciate the little things..the kiss on the forehead in the morning when he thinks I am sleeping, Last night we fell asleep holding hands under a=our daughters head (she likes our bed more than hers ) Stuff like that is great..but there are days when I am dealin with issues..ie I have some medical problems that wreck me emotionally every few months and sometimes I just dont want to be touched..I am tryying to remember that he is scared and its his way of letting me know I am not alone.

Re: Is anyone's Dh too....

myasmom

I totally completely understand what you are talking about Dh is so affectionate sometimes, in public, my mom says it looks like we are about to do the do... . He is so attached to me, like a tail .

I don't mind, but he is always the one initiating all the affections. He never relaxes and let me be the one to start first. Oooo nooo, could never happen that way. He is always the one . But, I guess my girlfriends too would love for there bf to be just as affectionate. So, I really can't complain to them.

Re: Is anyone's Dh too....

That's very sweet!! I know how you feel, not to that extent. I'm an only child and I love being ALONE. Sometimes when my DH is home when I get home, it ruins my unwinding period. But I would love that affection...especially after 7 years!!
