I had to call back today after 4, and have to show tomorrow in Riverhead!
I had Federal today in downtown Brooklyn and am on standby until next thurs..called though and dont have to go tomorrow

ugh, i had to do Jury Duty about a year ago. It wasn't that bad though. I didn't get chosen for an actual case though, so all I lost was one day of work. Hopefully it's the same for you - that you don't get put on any big cases that'll keep you from LIFE! lol

here is something that worked for me, i didnt even do it on purpose that day but worked out. I was there all day and they finally called the last numbers to go into the courtroom. They explained the case and told us a bunch of stuff. Well i had sat in the last row with a few other ppl. They gave us a sheet for sign in and those of us in the last row were on the bottom of the list. THey called up about 3-4 ppl at a time to ask them questions to see if they want them as a juror. Well those of us in the back got lucky bc they picked the 12 jurors before they even got to ask us anything. So stay in the back lol

for me, it was really easy. I only got called into one of the rooms, and then they explained the case and how long it would approximately take. They asked if anybody had a problem with it, and I told them that I'm a teacher and will not be able to take off longer than a week since my workplace didn't have any replacements for me. They immediately let me go. I was surprised it was so easy. lol. I had to sit a little longer, but I never got called in again before we were all released.
