DH and I are living with his parents while we house hunt. . .hopefully we'll be homeowners soon!

We have been renting since 06 and we are currently shopping for a home. Something interesting came along last night, so we'll see how that goes.

We rent a large 2bdrm Apt.
We're going to be here a while but I'm come to terms with this. I'd love my own home but this place is big enough to start a family and it doesnt cost us much at all. so at least we can save over the next few years

He owns a house on LI and I own a Co-op in Queens.

It is, but we looked to see how much of the mortgage payment went to the actual loan instead of interest and it makes us very When you see how much you actually paid for the house, its honestly ridiculous!

We rent the downstairs of my parents house. We pay rent, but its nowhere near what we'd pay if we rented elsewhere, and we have the yard, washer dryer, we have pets, and when I run out of toilet paper or olive oil I just go upstairs and steal some.

I do that sometimes now.. On my home from work Ill stop by my parents house and take what I need. lol, my dad always comes home to things missing and my mom just laughs lol

we own a 2-bedroom coop in queens- we wanted a house but everywhere we wanted to live was out of our budget- so we are starting off here.

We've been renting. We just moved into a beautiful new place that is almost a small house (off of a huge house by the water)! It really feels like our own house and we love it. It's a step up but we're saving hardcore so that we can buy within the next year or so.
