Lessing's caterers?

Hi, I'm SO sorry to post on here -I know it says for newlyweds only but I REALLY need feedback and I figured the best place to get it was from people who actually USED this caterer. I'm looking into booking one of the Lessing's venues but I want some feedback on the food because I don't know anyone personally that has gotten married there. Can anyone give me any input that has used them or been to a Lessing's wedding?

Thanks!! And sorry again for posting here

Hi! Yes I saw that post as well - thank you so much. I am considering Timber Point - I saw it recently and it's just beautiful - very elegant :)

Thanks again!

Re: Lessing's caterers?

I didn't get married at a Lessing's location but a friend of mine did last September. She got married at Timber Point also and it was really beautiful. The food was excellent and the place was really pretty.

Re: Lessing's caterers?

Thank you!

No one else has gotten married at (or attended a wedding at) any of the Lessing's locations? The Bourne Mansion, Coindre Hall, Timber Point, Smithtown Landing, Vanderbilt Mansion (not at Dowling), Riverview, etc..,?

Any help would be appreciated ladies...

Thanks again!

Re: Lessing's caterers?

Have you done a search for each individual location? The girls on here are very good at posting reviews when they either attend or have their wedding at particular locations.

Re: Lessing's caterers?

Yes I did do searches but there really weren't a lot very specifically about the food, just the place in general. I just figured the newlywed board would be best to check since you guys have actually had your weddings, besides just attending them....

I'll search more though...thank you!

Re: Lessing's caterers?

We had our wedding at Timber Point this past October & were thrilled with everything. All the food was wonderful. Each specific Lessing's place has there own cooks & menus. I did go to a expo at West Sayville Country Cub & thought the food was good there as well. My second venue choice was Smithtown Landing, but I never tasted their food. If you have a specific question feel free to FM me.

Re: Lessing's caterers?

Also with TP, there were some additions to their menu choices after we had made our menu selection....we had the Chateau Briand, the free range chicken, and the blackened Mahi Mahi.....everyone was THRILLED. I didn't get any CH food though....and the CAKE WAS AMAZING!

Re: Lessing's caterers?

I had my wedding at Smithtown Landing and everyone raved about the food. I was told the chef that was there at SL (almost 2 years ago now) came from Flowerfield. I think that was it but regardless there is nothing to worry about food wise. If you doubt it, go sample some food!
