Need your help. What size is your wedding album?

So, originally in my packages, I had the choice of an 8x8 album or 8x12.

Is it worth it to upgrade to 9.5x13 album? and for the parents to get an 8x12 album?


What size is everyone's album?? Please help, i want to make sure that I'm not apying a ton of $$$ when the albums I was originally getting were an OK size.

I did not do a parent album - If you can get the cd you can make your own album there are so many options for you I can even help you - a nice way to save

My wedding album is yet to arrive but I got the upgraded 8 x 12 and um..OMG

My advise is just do your original package b/c than there will be the other thing you have to take into account which is the amount of images! That brings the price soaring!!!!

Did you feel the 8x12 was a good size? I'm going to pick your brain tonight.

When we booked our photog we upgraded to the biggest album they have (12x12) so that's the one we are getting. I like squares anywho so I guess that's a good thing, lol.

I agree though as mentioned above that you should really consider staying with the size album you have and spending money on putting in more pictures etc. since it's usually very hard to stick to the number you have in your contract. Good luck!

Out of curiousity, how many images did you choose for your albums? Was it more than 100?

The standard was 50 pics but I ultimately ended up with 75 pics & had to pay for the difference.

I understand what your saying about parent album and them being so generous with the wedding but I am not telling you to NOT do one I am saying you can make a lovely one for them if you have the cd. I can talk about it later with you. I wish I had my album already to show you but it STILL Is not ready and I ordered it in JULY!!! It is coming from Italy.. blah blah blah Anyway getting back to where I was going before the images are going to be the hardest to narrow it down, b/c the contract usually has a limited amount of images like btwn - 70-80 and that is it and you will find that is just NOT enough for the album! It all adds up. Trust

I had to narrow it down 4x.
My first number of images I chose was 350!
Than I got it down to 300.
Than 250
Than I got the price for the 50 additional images instead of 200 (max) and I almost Try $4g w/out the $2g I already put a deposit on!!!

End result was 115 images my contract had only 70 images.

So yah..not good. It is easy to put alot of images if you do the coffee style book which most girls do now instead of the traditional matted old style .

dude i can't believe you are even thinking about this already. I'm so NOT there yet. I want to pay someone to pick them for me.

I think mine is 60 images and for some reason i think its 10x10. my parent albums are 5x7... I personally wouldn't upgrade this size, not because I don't love them, but because i don't think they want this huge album of mine.

my MIL keeps asking me for pics, so I might just make a cheap one for her until I get my act together. I am so NOT motivated to do albums OR video!

So, I think i am going to stick with original package
8x12 Bride and Groom Album
8x8 parent albums (2 of them)
and not get the big 9.5x13 for us.

My photographer's office manager stalking me to do the albums. I am almost 'guilted' into doingthem. I honestly am so sick of even looking at pics of me!
