Ignore everyone else's advice and do what the two of you want to do for your wedding. After all, it's YOUR special day, not theirs!

Remember to be in the moment.
In the middle of the reception, stand in the middle of the dance floor... look around and take it all in.
You will never get the moment back and it's a great way to remember the look of the room, friends and families faces, and most of all the emotions in your heart!!!

take time to date your FH/FW before the wedding, remember why you are marrying him/her. Sometimes the stress gets to a breaking point and you want to call it off, but this can help you remember why you want to spend your life with this person

don't be afraid to ask for help. If you are doing DIY projects, dont feel the need to do them all yourself, bring in friends and family to help you with making and putting stuff together.

My husband put me on wedding resource room (he is a special education teacher) my suggestion is during the last month make a list of things that need to be done. Assign yourself only a few things each night and you have to be finished with whatever your doing by a certain time. This will ensure that you will still get a good nights sleep which will prevent you from getting sick. It helped relieve alot of stress.

When they open the doors for your ceremony make sure that you take 10-15 seconds to look at your husband and take in the moment its a moment that you will never get back. I stole that from bethanny getting married but its true I did it and its something I remember very vividly.

I made sure my expectations of every vendor were clear and that they understood what we as the bride and groom are expecting.

Make sure to make time for yourself planning a wedding is very fun but can be very stressful allow for time for a mani/pedi or for even a walk at the beach just to take a step back from everything to relax.

You want to make sure your picture taken is not you looking at people in the audience!

Make a decision, then move on.

Dont keep lookin at wedding dresses if you have already picked. Dont do 5 hair trials. Dont look at flowers after you have chosed your flowers.

YOu will happier that you didnt keep going back and thinking 'what if'.

Keep it in your brain to enjoy the day. People give this advice, but actually take it.

I made sure, during the day, to REMEMBER to enjoy it. Yes it flew. But I can honestly say I remember the whole day. Details. everything.

Its because I took the time to just enjoy.

Lastly.

I had a small notebook with me for the last 6 months of the wedding. EVERY time I said 'wow thats a good idea' or 'wow, I need to do X' I wrote it down.

That way I didnt forget one thing for the wedding. Not one.

As I purchased things (hoodie, bride undies, DOJ, shoes etc) I put it on the list for pack for hotel, and pack for location.

I didnt forget one thing!

Tell friends and family members you want pictures with to make sure they get a picture with you, because you can have a perfect must take list, it gets to crazy once things start to remember to take them all. But if they come to you, you know you will get that photo opportunity.

If you have a vision go for it. Don't let anyone tell you it's not going to work. Take things into your own hands if you have to.

(Example: We were told lighting turquoise lanterns with white lights wouldn't work because it would make them purple, so they said we can't light them, so we went online and found turquoise lights to put in the lanterns and gave them to our florist.)
