do as much as you can 2 and 3 weeks before your wedding so that the week leading up to it the only thing on your list is to relax and sleep.

Go for an additional hair and make up trial a few weeks before your wedding with the people you booked. That way there are no surprises the day of your wedding and the look you want is fresh in their minds. I did this and they nailed my look. And I was able to make comments based upon the second trial I had.

it's not about that one wedding day, it's about that journey - those days that you & FI take to get TO that wedding day that made that ONE day memorable!

try to calm your nerves anyway you can. i was so nervous I kept my head down looking at my feet when I walked down the aisle with my dad.... I was so embarrassed and I also have zero serious shots of me from the entire day because i was so nervous I was just grinning ear to ear so hard all night!!

dont be afraid to speak up to vendors and if your gut tells you something listen to it!!

i hated my hair trial. she did it three or four times for three hours and i hated it all. I was so tired and frustrated at the end of it that I didn't demand my money back or a new stylist to at least give it a try. I didn't know if I should stay with her anyway or switch. At last minute I called and switched to a stylist I never even met before or had a trial with. thank goodness!! she was amazing!!!!!!! and the other girl was in the salon that day and no one was happy with her stuff. I was so relieved.

Give yourself (and DH) a day w/o ANY wedding planning. You'll both enjoy the break.

Don't worry about things so much while planning, that you lose sight of what's really happening on your wedding day~you're sealing your love for life.

Shop around for wedding dresses until you're 100% sure. Don't try a dress on and think~hmmm, this looks nice, but I'll need to lose about 15 lbs for it to look amazing. Chances are that weight will not come off (if you're too lazy to work out like I was). Buy the dress that looks amazing on you right then at the store.

Don't be afraid to invite people last minute if your under your minimum. Make it clear you wanted them there but couldn't invite them because you had obligations. I had several guests tell me they were honored to be on my B-List. One even said she thought it was a bigger honor then the A list because the A-list are people you have to invite. The B-List are people you really wanted there but couldn't invite.

Go over the florist contract, look up every flower on it, make sure its right. It will be worth your time so that your not fighting with florists on the morning of your wedding.

You may not get the 'its the one' feeling when trying on dresses. However, once you find a suitable dress and it is fitted perfectly for you and all the accessories come together... you will LOVE your dress so much it will become 'the one'.

Don't let anyone tell you 'you have plenty of time'! Be excited for your wedding and do everything you want to do when you want to do it!!

Q-tips and lip gloss in your bouqet! Q-tips will help clean uip any smudges from any tears and lip gloss will keep your pucker perfect all night and you won't have to worry about going back to the bridal suite for them or have someone else hold them for you. The BoK hides these items (and any other things you might need) really well!

Dance with your DH as much as possible, even if everyone else is eating the first course, second course, main course - whatever! It's a big party celebrating the love you share together, make the most of it.

Also - the best advice I received -

When you sit down together at the sweetheart table, reflect on the beauty of the room, how many incredible people are there to share in your day, and that it's your first meal as husband and wife. Give each other a kiss and say 'I love you'

Leave a day after the wedding to get reorganize and set for the honeymoon ...... u will need it to take a breather
