it seems like there was so much drama on the 07 board that it almost felt like the newlyweds were agains the brides!!!
i will confess the thing that NO one wants to truly admit....after my wedding has been over and done with.....all the posts on the 07 board seem slightly mundane concerning things like 'my invites are here!' or 'rsvps coming in!' this doesn't mean i'm not HAPPY for those ladies....i am! but at the same time, once your wedding comes and goes, you kind of feel a little 'over' all the little details that we all made a big deal out of. (i of course do not separate myself from this group...i did it too) after the day comes we all finally are like 'wow, i guess making sure i had a satin ribbon on each favor really wasn't that big a deal' or something along those lines.
i hope no one takes my words and twists them into thinking i'm saying i don't care about other brides ...cause i am in a fellow LIWers wedding this year, and have at least like 5 more weddings to go to...and i'm VERY happy for EACH and every lady. but i guess once you are married and the day comes....while you miss the excitement of YOUR day...you kind of feel a little 'over' the details.
any other fellow newlyweds feeling what i'm saying?

Re: Newlyweds vs. Brides to be! (confession to make)
I still love to see everyone's pictures from their weddings and read the reviews. I also like seeing the '08 & '09 dresses and rings...but other then that I don't really post anymore either. The wedding was such a consuming part of the last 2 years that I think I need a break. Now my new obsession is buying a house. I'm on the realtor websites now as much as I used to be on the wedding ones.

i am with you as well.....I feel very sad that the wedding is over since all the excitement has gone
although i love being a wife....i do miss all the little details..
i myself still come on the website to browse and if i have any input i will comment...
other than that i have kept low on posting as well. i am excited for these brides.
I found myself useful in the 08 forum since most girls are looking for advice om booking vendors and such which i have alot to say on with my experience.
but i still love all my 07ers

AMEN SISTER!!!!!!!!! I am very excited for all the future brides out there, but like you I feel like enough is enough. I guess part of it is that when you try to give advice they look at you like you're trying to ruin their day or belittle it somehow? I guess what I mean is this.........When I say it goes by fast and that you don't REALLY notice the small things that dosen't mean you shouldn't expect a nice wedding it just means that you have so many other things on your mind that day that you can't remember/do it all and if you try it will stress you out. If you try to explain this to a bride to be MEOW!! I like reading the reviews, and seeing the wedding pictures, but besides that I guess I feel like....it was a great day, but it's over and i'm ok with that. What I liked most about the 07 board were the ideas and pictures. There were wonderful make-up/hair trial pics, dress/flower/decoration/favor ideas, and advice. I felt like I wasn't alone and that all the crazy things I was feeling were normal. I am grateful, but even more grateful for the Newlywed Board

I completely agree. And I know its hard for brides to be to see this now, but you will look back and wonder why certain things became sooo important.

Re: Newlyweds vs. Brides to be! (confession to make)
I was done with the wedding before the wedding happened. The week or two before I couldn't wait to just get it over with so my life could go back to normal and I could stop being a crazy person! I feel so much more relaxed now and I haven't even been married a week! LOL

yes....I feel the same way. Its hard right now to get excited over petal cones and rsvps. However, I will never forget how I felt when it was my turn.......I was so wrapped up in the details!!!!! Its one of life's experiences.....I think its fair to say that I'm really excited for the brides to be. And in less then a year, we'll all be in the same boat; obsessing about NEW things, like homes, babies, and jobs.
