for me, DEFINITELY adding an extra hour to the reception......I think you spend so much time beforehand making sure everything will look nice and go well, you don't think about actually having time to ENJOY it on your wedding day......I would kill to go back in time and pay for an extra hour!!!

how bout you ladies? if someone handed you an extra thousand or two, what would you have used it for?

considering how crazy my wedding morning was, I would have liked a DOC!

I know this normally wouldn't be considered a splurge, but I woulda gone with a hairstylist that specialized in wedding hair. I went with loyalty and CHEAP!

A wedding planner, definitely. Also an extra shuttle for OOT guests so they wouldn't have to wait for the shuttle to come back around. Some of the guests didn't realize the shuttle would be coming back and started calling taxis or hitching rides with other guests.

we definitely splurged on a lot of things so it is hard to say...

maybe i wouldn't have splurged so much looking back? lol nahhhh it was worth it

but if money was endless i would have had it on a saturday night - it was fine the way it was but if money was no object then why not?

i probably would have had even more flowers-- i mean, we had A LOT and it was pretty pricey as is but i would have just added loads and loads more b/c i love them so much.

i would have provided more limo transportation for everyone - just for conv. and to make it easy on people but we didn't have extra cash for that.

i had pretty extensive lighting but would have added more-- and more personal touches just because those are fun.

i would have upgraded the CH if money was no big deal-- i mean, we had plenty of food but why not add on all the stations they offer as upgrades?

i didn't want the VH either way b/c everyone would have had to go into another room b/c their VH is so extensive and i didn't want people leaving like that-- but i would have added an extra hour to party-- fun times!

i would have flown first class on the HM -- again, why not? haha

and i would have bought myself a freaking HIGH END designer gown-- I mean, NICE-- like Vera or Reem don't get me wrong- i loved my gown and it was really well made and beautiful and amazing in every way-- it was just right for me-- but again, why not?

i know how to spend-- that's for SURE

I would've had the wedding on a Saturday night. I would've added an extra hour to the reception. I would've had more flowers at the church and at the reception. I loved my flowers, but if I had money to burn, I would've had more. I would've paid for my girls' dresses, hair, and make-up. I would've had the photog come to my house earlier and I would've had a photog at DH's house to take pics of him getting ready. I really wanted to give out something at the end of the wedding (in addition to the favor we gave.) I really wanted to do bagels with cream cheese and OJ but it was just too expensive to do it. So that's something I definitely would have done. And finally I would have had the Pedala sisters do my hair and make-up. While I was happy w/ my hair and make-up, the work the Pedala sisters do is just amazing.

if i had known about Pennylane for video i probably would've went nuts and spent the mula. i'm perfectly happy with our video - it came out beautiful...but i've never seen ANYTHING like pennylane's work! Other than that nadda - our wedding was beautiful & i was happy with everything!

I would have spent more money on my dress....my dream dress was soooooo out of my price range. Granted I LOVED my dress-but the one I really really wanted I just could not see doing it

I would've had a monogrammed isle runner and a DOC!!!!!!!!! I was a ball of nerves that day I could've really used one!!!!!!

the only thing i can think of is that i would've LOVED having a mariachi band for the cocktail hour to bring Tucson to NY. That was the one and only thing my parents said 'HELL NO' to, so I can't really complain. and yeah, a saturday night would've been better, but I'm still thrilled with how things worked out.

and now I'd like to add.....a DJ!! I went with cheap and I really think I got cheap. They were fine...but just not professional in my opinion.

I probably would have splurged on a videographer, especially for the ceremony.

I think our wedding was perfect - but our HM was a bit short. I think I would have take an extra week or 2.

We totally agree with you Helen!!! We would pay for another hour. Our wedding was so beautiful and we could not ask for more but it did go by so fast. We would have paid for another hour.

I would have liked to have the Sunday of Labor Day weekend instead of Monday, but 1) it was already booked in Dec 2005 when I booked my date, and 2) it was like double the price per person!

Other than that, I would have liked a harpist for the top of the staircase.

I got pretty much everything else I could ever want!

if we had unlimited $$$$$$$ i would have had it on a saturday nite (we had sunday daytime to save cash)

i also would have splurged on my photo/video. we were on a tight budget--and while i love my pics -- there are other photogs i would have wanted if i had the money.

If money were no object I would have;

definitely have invited more people..there were alot from work that I have worked with for years that I couldnt because well i really could not afford to do a 250 person wedding..we had 175 and that was alot...

i would have gotten nicer invites...

and definitely a photobooth..

other than that everything was really awesome anyway
