not married yet but we've lived together for over 2 1/2 years and FH eats about 5 foods...He eats hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken nuggets( white meat only)..plain chickewn, salad and pizza..I swear I cant think of one more thing other then that...I eat none of that, and did I add he cant cook anything but that above....( and no he does not know how to make salad) and when he cooks in the oven he asks me nine times if it ' LOOKS DONE' ...sO I do it most of the time...I make two different meals about 4-5 days a week... and I hate it...any suggestions on getting him to cook? Or PLAIN meals he would eat...he hates cheese ( all kinds, pasta, sauce, fish , chinese, any cold cuts but bologna...etc....you get the point!)

We should do a dinner night thread and post on thing a day and this is what our men will get to eat. We can rotate who comes up with the nights meal, and we will never have to worry about what to plan for dinner. If something is posted that we didn't like well, oh well then we are on our own.--unrealistic but I wish, it could be done that easily.

I LOVE to cook but I'm so tired & cranky when I get home from work, I rarely do (this is not new since we are married - been since we lived together). So DH will grill most nights or we get takeout and one night over the weekend I will cook.
If I was home, I would cook every night!

Re: Okay, Newyweds! So, how many days a week do you cook for hubby? or
I have been married one month today and have cooked maybe twice. There is a good reason, I refuse to until we move. We are staying in my old studio apartment until we find a bigger one. There is no counter space! The only counter has my drain board on it which is almost never empty. So, I have to balance stuff on the edge of the sink or half wall. It stinks. So, I am being stubborn and waiting until we move. I haven't even taken out all my shower gifts. Looking for an apartment is no fun!

We try to cook at least 3-4 times a week.He usually makes pasta and sauce on Mondays. And I usually cook Tuesdays and Weds.
We always eat out on Fridays and Saturdays.
We usually order take out once or twice a week (pizza or chinese) and once in a while we hit fast food (that stuff used to be easier to eat when I was younger!)
It's too hot to cook right now. Thank God my central air conditioning is being installed next week! Relief!

We usually split cooking responsibilities. He cooks on nights when I have my grad classes and I cook when he works late. Sometimes we cook together, but if it's cooking something on the grill, he's in charge. His grill is like his second wife!Welcome New Vendors
