It's a book club! And the above ladies are in! We are thinking like book a month, maybe we can each take turns picking once a month, and then we'll have a posting week on it - and we are hoping for a 'book club tab' courtesy of liweddings!!!
Anybody else interested or have any input on how it should work?

I'd love to participate, but I have a feeling what I enjoy reading isn't the norm around here. I hate your typical romance/girly type book! LOL I'm more into the thriller types, or murder mysteries like James Patterson and Nelson DeMille types.
Oh, and when I get started on a great book, I can't put it down til it's done! It usually takes me about 4-5 days at the most to finish it.
Can I be a stand-by reader and decide to participate after the book is chosen each month?! Sorry to be a pain.....

Of course ... it should be open to everyone who wants to participate. We need to decide on the book though!
My vote is for the Lovely Bones .. and I saw some more votes for that one as well, but really I'm open for anything .. I need to broaden my horizon on book reading! I think we should do this based on which book is voted the most. What do you girls think? Jenny? Michele? Maybe we should start a new thread to vote on the book or should someone just pick it!

I am def in Teri- I read those as well!!! so you are not alone-- I am up for whatever books everyone chooses-- and just to let you know I use Half.com all the time as well as sell on their--great resource for those of you that haven't tried it Laura

Has any desision been made? if its lovely bones im gonna call the library to see if they have a copy..
normaly i only read hollywood tell alls and biographies, but i want to broaded a little!!

AGAIN - MY MODEM WAS DOWN...SO SO SORRY!!!! I think Lovely Bones is a GREAT place to start! I read it and loved it. I will re-read to be fresh for the post! I vote Feb. 13th for the post, but if you girls need more time, just say the word.
And YES let's read all types of books! I am always up for learning/experiencing something new - I think we all are. Classics, Children's, Non-Fiction - whatever we like!
I think that on the post date, the three 'first posters' should throw out 2-3 books each for the next read, and we'll vote from there - sound good?
And if anybody needs lovely bones - I can send it out!

I have read lots of children's books too Anne of Green Gables is great! And if someone doesn't want to read a certain book , they can always join next time. It will be nice to have a place to discuss my books. Maybe LIW can give us a 'poll' option like they have on WC and UW. Then we could easily vote on our next book.

Michelle do you think they are reading these post, maybe if you emailed them your suggestions then we would be certain that they are seeing them I think a poll is a great option to have. Don't forget the tab for our book club in the email. Thanks

Lovely Bones excellent, I also read Memoires of A Geisha Girl great Color of Water James McBride my favorite. Slammerkin very good read
