How many of you currently own your own home or do you rent?
DH and I are closing on our home in Oct. and I hear it defiantly brings the relationship to an entire new level
What do you ladies think and any stories you want to share!

Yes, it def brings the relationship to a whole different level. There are so many things to keep up with when you own a house that you don't have to bother with when you rent.

We own, we bought our home 7/06 and it was a weird but exciting feeling. You are nervous about mortage payments but at the same time you are excited at the new endevour in your life.

We bought a condo together in December. It's a lot of work, but we're really happy that we did it.

We own. It is very exciting....but also a little scary. There is no landlord to call when something breaks, and we worry a lot. Its also a different attitude.....didn't care so much about stuff when renting, but now everything is OURS, so there is a different attitude. Its scary, but so exciting! Congrats!

We bought our house 1 month before the wedding. I absolutely love to come home every day to our home. It is also a big responsibility but the good definitely outweighs the bad.

we almost bought a place.... but after the deal fell through we realized we should probably rent for a couple more years, since we likely will have to move in 2-4 years.
It isn't fiscally prudent to tie yourself to a place, pay the closing costs, just to put it up on the market and sell it in a couple years... and then pay closing costs AGAIN

We rent and are casually looking right now. We will be very aggressive and plan to buy a home in early 08. I can't wait!!
