here ya go...my GRATUITOUSLY long list of pet peeves

(no i didnt sit here and think of this on the spot, this is something i came up w/ a while ago for something else....don't ask. i know its ridiculous but thought id share in case anyone found it amusing or had similar pet peeves. and don't worry, i have a much longer list of the things i LOVE about life, though this list makes me sound miserable! its just a joke!)

starers, intrudes of personal space, morning ppl, 'wet turkey' from the deli, garlic & onions staying with me forever, dry skin...especially hands (its weird but I feel like I can't breathe), how my nose itches when I brush my teeth..i sneeze when i pluck my eyebrows..and my throat feels weird when i clean my ears..IM WEIRD!, amaretto or cherry/almond, any time a condiment gets on your hand- mayo, mustard, ketchup...EW!, when people touch my food with their yuck hands or dirty nails!!!, the sound of hocking a loogie & when ppl do it in public like its not a problem, anxiety, overheating, beyond relaxation to absolute boredom, my impatient nature..i need immediate gratification but im workin on it (youngest child syndrome), smell of cilantro...gives me an instant migraine!, popcorn & how I feel I still have to try it each time like I'll magically have changed my mind about it, candy corns & the fact that you have to eat them regardless on halloween just because, same with fortune cookies...but don't ya always take one nibble? well ok, i do so the fortune will come true..yea I'm crazy, straight black coffee, anything hot/spicy, pepper, 2% milk, throwing up...you can't breathe & how you have an aversion to that food for years to come, writing papers, public speaking, spiders, weather below 60' or above 100', when your pants roll up in the middle of the night (what i call a 'huck finn'), when your arm falls asleep at night & you wake up & have to chuck it around with the other arm til feeling comes back, few hours of daylight in winter, gold jewelry, appointments, pudding skin or the close relative- burnt macaroni skin, fruit at the bottom of my yogurt...fruity chunks in general EW (i have sensory issues with that), desserts that don't involve chocolate...anyone who knows me well knows my quote 'It aint dessert if it aint chocolate,' the two end pieces on a loaf of bread, sleeping under bed sheets, crowded areas, the dentist's drill, yea that smell of burning tooth gets ya every time...

and my all time biggest pet peeve, when ppl park in handicap spots & dont need to. that one affects me personally so im hypersensitive to it.

I have sensory issues with chunks in general too, OJ with pulp makes me gag for no apparent reason, i think my brain thinks im chewing on a fly or something

I have a Few.....

When you say 'Thank you' & the person doesn't say 'Your Welcome'

When people do not hold doors

When people do not use their blinkers or Cut you Off
When people do Not Know how to MERGE
People who drive 50 in the Left Lane
People who cross the HOV Lane where they are Not suppose to

out of all that I think I'm most surprised by the 'pudding skin' how can you not love pudding skin!!! DH & I fight over it!! mmmm

as for the burning tooth smell, my dentist told me that if you can smell it that much then the dentist isn't using enough water. maybe I can get dentures like now and just avoid future fillings altogether

my peeves:

Grammar: hanged vs. hung.... Even professors get it wrong

the smell of warm kechup
people who are incapable of parking within the white lines
the smell of dried up soda spills in a movie theatre
my BIL, and all other people with big mouths and small minds...
fake 'religious people'- they lack ethics in everyday living yet claim the moral high ground becuase they sleep through a sermon once a week
people who drive 90 mph on the LIE in the right lane
people who drive 35 mph on the LIE in the left lane
movie theatre popcorn: it's styrofoam with some sort of putrid brake lubricant. It's not food. Food never is packed in garbage bags before serving
my neighbor who complains about the smell in the hallway after I cook mexican food, yet fries eggs at 8am using a half a bottle of garlic powder
undergrads who grub 2 points on every exam to raise their GPA. Look kid, if you're relying on your debating skills to get to med school, you should reconsider and apply to law school instead

This has bothered me for a long time but I never wanted to post not to seem like THE ultimate biacth BUT its happened to me more than once..enough that I think we need to address it...

on LIW..If you FM someone to ask them a question or better yet A FAVOR and we don't have a regular dialogue like I do with so many of the girls, INTRODUCE YOURSELF by at leats signing your name.

Dont just demand something from me and dont even bother signing your name. I find that SO SO SOOOO rude! If you meet someone in person, you say 'hello, my name is' and you exchange greetings. WHY should it be any different online?

Use your username if you dont want to give out your real name. It irks me because I always sign my emails Jenn if its a first time one. If we've talked a few times then you dont have to bother signing it. If we know one another like we've talked on the boards, dont bother signing it. But if you're someone BRAND NEW wanting info from me....be polite and say HI before making demands.

Jess I love your list. When i am bored (often) I make lists. The hate list I have has grown wildly out of control.

drivers who make a turn in front of you and never put on their BLINKER!! I hate that!

And drivers that honk the horn when they are behind you the very SECOND the light turns green!

Oh, and people who dont say thank you when they are behind you and you walk through a door and hold it open for them...really? u cant say thank you!! And also people who dont hold the door for me when i am literally 2 feet behind them and it slams in my face.

Gettin wacked in the face is BAD but so is gettign wacked in the *** , which happens when someone holds the door but as you're walking through with bags in both hands, lets it go so you get WHACKED!

I hate it when someone bumps into you and doesn't say excuse me.
I can't stand people who are condesending and think that they are better than you and when these people talk down to you.
I also hate it when people park in handicap spots and they are not handicapped, DH says these people are mentally handicapped.
I hate it when you are rushing to catch an elevator and just as you get there someone pushes the close door button so the elevator closes in your face.
I hate it when you are using a public restroom and people don't wash their hands, they just do their business, fix their hair and walk out...hello, have they never heard of soap & water.
I hate it when you are waiting for a parking spot and someone steals your spot.
I hate it when DH & I go to do laundry and people hog all of the machines or when they use so much bleach that when you put in some of your clothes they come out with bleach stains.

OYE! Sorry Catherine! I always call you Cat... Sorry! I do it to everyone by default; shortening their name I mean. I rarely go by my full name unless its at work or introducing myself for the frst time. SORRY! I'll be good from now on I promise!

LMAO I dont mind Jenny as much. Usually only close friends and fam call me Jenny anyway but once in awhile my boss does it and it does rankle me. I like strong sounding names. Katherine is actually a name I'd like to name a girl if we have kids and end up wth girls. Katherine and Sarah are names I like.

My mom actually gets into kill mode when people call her Sandy instead of Sandra.
