I have a question...... Does everyone like Sushi or no?????

I do but Im picky in the city. My favorite place is this little hole in the wall place by the drugfair and dry cleanign place out by me in Fairfield. The food is PHENOMENAL. better than anything I have had in NYC and sooo fersh and affordable. But then I like the fancy rolls they serve. They always have about 30 on the menu and then 5 specials a night.

As long as there is desert I am GOOOD!

if all else fails there's a Friday's on 34th & 8th, and an Applebees and Olive Garden right in Time Square

I kinda have a 'thing' with Fridays - me no likey

The other places sound cool, but never been. I think Times Square is pretty central and has a lot of options.

ReallY? I think Fridays has better food but then I had an Applebees in Co-op by us and the services was always crap so maybe thats why I am more eh. Olive Garden I LOVED lol till I went to the one in NJ which ****** butt but Italian food is always good. Breadsticks!

as much as i love my city bars and pubs, going to fridays/applebees, or someplace like that might be easiest - we can all just get a table, sit, eat and drink. really, i'm fine with anything as long as i can get my drink and food on

has anyone been to the dave & buster's in the city? just another option.....

sorry should have read the posts before i posted earlier!

It is Calico Jacks. The special is only on Tuesdays and the catch is you have to sit at the bar. With that I think that would be annoying and not the social atmosphere you were looking for!

It's like an Applebees but with an arcade also. The menu is much more limited at D&B though.

Each time I've eaten at TGIF I've gotten an upset stomach I have enough tummy issues so now I avoid the place like the plague.

ps: Has anyone been to Stitch on 37th??? i really liked this place.... great drinks & a cool atmosphere...it's also bi-level so it doesn't get TOO crazy crowded...u can also reserve space upstairs...

ps: Twelve (or rather 'X11') is another good one...it's on East 34th. went to Stout & then hopped over there on DH's bday a year or two back & have gone back a few times since....) also, what about just going to applebees or fridays???? lol yea i know - GAY. but who cares???

Oooh that's funny we love stitch; my DH made their cool neon outside, that's what he does for a living. Jen if you had a headcount i could get DH to call the owner and save us a section from say 5pm onward, just let me know if this gets the vote. Location's a little awkward but i'll meet you guys wherever!!

oh really? Hmmm so far we definetly have about 11 of us. Is Stitch the one that gets crowded? i will go wherever as long as the munchies are good and it is not too loud.

Stitch will definetly be loud....it's a hot after-work spot...i mean - i think the last time i was there was on a friday - but still....the upstairs is mainly for private parties so downstairs can get packed....and the last time i was there the tables were round high-tops that seat maybe 6??? hmm i mean - i think it's a cool place, but i think we may be better off going for the restaurant setting if we're talking right after work which = happy hour time..
