Her brother is the Nassau officer that was severely injured by the drunk driver on the LIE this morning.

I just spoke with her - they are standing by at the hospital praying for hope. I told her we're all here to help if there's anything they need.

At this time, all she asks is that we please pray - they are counting on every ounce of prayer for her brother's life.

Her brother is a wonderful man - a wonderful Dad. His poor 6 yr old son...

This is such a horrible situation - Dani I pray that your brother keeps fighting and gets better! Keep praying - we are all praying with you too!!!

And I can't post without also saying that drunk driving is DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!! These people have NO idea what they're disgusting behavior can do. In this case, a cop doing his job is in the hospital fighting for his life - his entire family, the force, so many people are suffering and meanwhile 'The driver of the Mercedes, Rahiem Griffin, 27, was also taken to NUMC with minor injuries.' Nice, huh? Oh and let's not forget that 'According to police, Griffin was driving with a suspended license.' Like I said, disgusting.

Dani, my prayers are with you, your brother, and your entire family.

Omg, I heard this on the news and was wondering if it was anyone 'we knew'.

I've been praying for this officer all morning, but even moreso now knowing he's Dani's brother!!
