Please recommend steakhouses!!!!!!!!!

Ok so I just realized Peter Luger is out of my price range. Can anyone recommend a good steak house that is reasonably priced?

It has to be Peter Luger's.....I've never been but their steak sauce is to die for.

oh and also just so you know, they do NOT take any credit cards. Its cash only OR the only card they take is their own peter luger card but other than that no other cc's.

Also, theres a peter luger's location in LI now too

Thats it thank you! Thanks for the advice about the cash that is very good to know! I looked on the website and saw there is one in Great Neck too. Do you think it is just as good or should I go to Brooklyn?

i would hope they are just as good. There was actually a thread about this recently on BHB, a girl was asking about steak houses in LI and some people brought up peter luger's and then a discussion came up regarding which was better. I remember one girl thought the one in bklyn was better while another thought the one in great neck was better lol, sorry that doesn't help. If you prefer LI then do that, but if you think he would prefer going to the original location in bklyn then go with that.

I think Lugers in both brooklyn and Long Island is overated , but if you are closer to Great Neck , you are better off going there IMO, same difference

Yes. Not sure what price range you were looking at, but DH and I had a $100 gift card and we had to put another $100 in. To me, that's a pricey dinner. I heard Sagamore is great too, on jericho in syosset, but I think it's just as pricey .. and Mac's in Huntington is fabulous but even pricier than Blackstone ....

steakhouses in general are pretty pricey. I know DH went to Uncle jack's for his friends bday not long ago and he still paid a decent amount. Theres also Ruth's chris but again i think its pricey.

around what price range?

Charlie Browns - personally dh and i go there we can't afford $$$$ steakhouses and we like it.

alot of steak houses can run higher than that. How about a real nice italian restaurant or something like that. You can still get a great meal for around that price.
