OK if I said to you, I am going to give you $1000 and tell you that you can either spend it on yourself or on your home for decorations not bills and you CANNOT spend it on your hubby. Which would you do and why?
And you can't split it- it's one or the other!
For me at this point I would spend it on my house. I really feel like the effects of decorating my house will last much longer than me getting a massage or a manicure/ pedicure.

I completely agree. Since we bought our house, I spend far less on clothes and personal items. I'd rather buy furniture, carpeting, artwork, outdoor stuff, etc.
Besides, my husband is good about giving me massages...not as good as the professionals, but good enough for me.

Re: Question of the day for March 29th
hmmm, I would be selfish and use it for ME!!!!! I feel like any extra money we ever have always ends up going back into the house somehow - so I would see this $$ as a gift and would pamper myself with it! New clothes (since I never buy them) and a spa day (since I never pamper myself either) I would take it in a heartbeat - personal well-being is exteremely valuable and often overlooked!!

House because my husband thinks nothing of spending money on me but he analyzes each purchase for the house waaay too much.

Spend it on me...new spring wardrobe
Same here. We're really trying to cut down on spending now, which means I haven't even looked at the new spring clothing. I'm itching to go shopping!

We only rent, but I think I'd buy a piece of furniture that would fit in our current place, but that we could use in a new place, like an entertainment unit. Once we put a down payment on something, then we won't have as much for furniture.

Right now I would definitely spend it on the house though I don't know how far $1000 would even go considering how much work we have to do right now!

Re: Question of the day for March 29th
easy, the decorations!!
I love to decorate.. wanted a long time ago to go into home decor.
I'd spend it on wall hangings. I need some thing 'wow' for my bathroom and the hall. I'd like to have a shadow box for our swords to dispay on the wall.
Stuff like that.
$1,000 would go *poof* very fast!
