So with the wedding day being officially over, does it ever make you depressed?

YES!!! I miss the wedding. I find myself being so jealous of people still planning. I stare at the bridal store windows and secretly want to go try on dresses I dont know when this wedding depression will go away- its been almost a year!

I can honestly say no. I thought I'd go through some kind of depression after the wedding, and so did everyone else, but I am so glad it's over! I guess I feel this way because the day itself was so stressful and we had so many problems. Don't get me wrong, I had a great time I just am glad to not be wedding planning anymore.

lol I don't miss the planning either..I will never miss that..I was super stressed the week of with my accident and all..I would never want to relive that! lol..but i seriously do miss the day itself sooo much..

Im not depressed about it. Im happy thats its over and Im married. I do miss planning, I thought it was fun. Ive always been into stuff like that.

I watched my video last night again and was like awww look how cute we were that day

I thought I would be but, I felt the day was so perfect that I wouldn't want to change a thing and glad I don't have to stress about it. Its so odd though that sometimes it felt like a dream and when I see pictures it feels like it was so far away but, its only been 4 months!

It really does feel like it was so far away..its almost 7 months for me..and it feels like years!!

So Karin's post about posting our favorite wedding pics got me thinking about how much I actually miss my wedding day. Do any of you ever feel depressed that its all over..I go on the 09 board from time to time and just miss the whole wedding feeling and anticipation. I miss the day itself so much that at times its hard to come on here (I feel like its a distant memory). Do any of you feel this way?

YES! I feel like wanting to plan all over again but this time with hindsight being 20/20, I would do it better lol. I also miss making all my DIY projects!! It must have something to do with anticipating something great happening!
Is this like post-partum wedding blues?!!

The only thing I miss about the day is getting everyone together, all my friends and family and Dh's friends and family. I enjoyed putting faces to the names, ya know? That's all I miss though. My wedding day was so stressful

I couldn't have said it better. I really don't miss it and I thought I would.

i posted this before - its not that i miss the wedding day or the wedding per say but i just miss being engaged - it was so exciting to get to be the bride to be - all the parties and excitement - it was def fun - DH and i both had so much fun together leading up to the wedding - between the proposal, the eparty, registering, the shower, visiting vendors, picking out our rings - it was all fun stuff that we got to do.....so that i miss - i felt so princessy all the time it was just a great time for us and i loved that year and a half of being engaged

I am not sad that it is over, I am more depressed about how I looked. I wish I could go back and change everything about me (the wedding was great, loved everything about the day). I do get to thinking about it and I get sad. I just need to remember that it was a great day and move forward... next up, BABIES

I know what you mean!! A friend of mine had her b-party last night, and it made me realize how much of the stuff I missed right before the wedding!! The shower too was awesome!!!

I know what your saying here too!! I too wasn't thrilled with the way I looked either..My skin was in the crappiest condition I have ever seen it, I hated my hair and I was sore from my accident...So I know how you feel..sometimes in that sense I wish i could live it over..because I feel like honestly that wasn't the day I looked my best!
But I do think your crazy! lol you looked gorgeous on your wedding day!!!

I feel that way sometimes. We JUST picked out our pics to bring to the photographer for our album, and that was a lot of fun. I realized a lot of the stuff I missed was DH and I planning together. Now, we are just planning different things together- house, family, etc.
I think the key thing is spending time together, doing things together.
BUT I still want to put my dress back on!!!!
