Well definitely DH, but I also would like my mom I think. I wouldnt mind if MIL was in there either probably will mean alot to her. I think thats it. Dh will probably need somebody to help calm him down, he worries and stresses about everything lol, and i obviously wont be the one that day doing that lol.

Of course after i give birth everyone can come in lol

Alot of women I know say that they didnt even care at that point, and just wanted it out lol so who knows how i'll feel that day.

yep - that is what everyone says! that they don't care at that point - i don't think its a huge deal if people see it happen - and i don't think its disgusting, i mean it scares me to think i may have to do it one day but i don't understand why people are grossed out or think its disgusting - that's just me though - i know lots of people who are like eww gross....but it doesn't bother me at all - to me its pretty amazing actually....

i am not grossed out at all by it either. However, i do have to say i wouldnt want my dad or FIL or BIL in there for example and having that view lol but otherwise its fine with me.

Just DH. My sister will be a back up just in case DH can't handle it.

I honestly dont even like when the family is in the waiting room. I need some time to get myself together and I will call you when it is okay to come.

ITA!!!

We're not pregnant or nowhere near TTC but when this subject comes up in conversation, my MIL wants us to call as soon as we leave for the hospital.... I'm thinking I don't even want visitors the first day I'm in the hospital!

Just Dr's and DH and he cant look!!

I wouldnt be surprised if some nosy people want to be there, but NO!

And no video/camera- nothing..unless I can have a staff of hair and makeup people which is not possible since no one else it allowed in the room.

just dh and the doctors/nurses

and dh will not be allowed to look at anything from the waist down- i dont want our sex life being affected later on lol

Just DH....even though he prefer's it like the good old days when the father's waitited in the waiting room...

I feel the same way...I want that alone time with DH and the baby but right after...come on in!!!! I will probably be so happy to tell everyone I actually DID IT that I gave birth haha (everyone knows how scared I am).

But I don't think it is a disgusting thing either..it is such a miracle and a wonderful thing. However I don't need my inlaws in the room. The only other person I would have besides my DH is my mom since she did this 6 times and is a nurse as well.

I would like my DH in there with me, maybe my maybe my mom, but definitely whoever is in charge of the epidural drugs...they are going to be my best friend that day

i do want my family there, but i think when it comes to the actually delivery and pushing, i want it to be just dh and me. After the delivery, then the family is more then welcome to come on in.

After giving brth I want both our families and friends to visit. I just don't want them there for the whole process.

yeah i will probably be excited after to have everyone come in and see the baby and them being all excited about it. I wont care what i look like either bc it will be close family and friends if anything. And even if not, who cares bc you just gave birth, if anybody wants to judge how i look after giving birth then they are the ones with issues i dont care if i'll have make up running down my face, hair all a mess and just in general a hot mess lol.

I would want the alone time with my DH and the baby, as well as some rest. My friend recently gave birth and she had tons of family visiting and she was complaned that they stayed for hours on end, she didn't get a chance to rest, and she had no privacy whatsoever - they wouldn't even leave the room so she could breastfeed in private!!!
