Stiffers
If someone (a coworker) came to your wedding and gave you NOTHING..not even a card, and she's getting married next yr, if she invites you, would you give her a card with $

Re: Stiffers
I would give you a card with money in it. Not alot but something. Just to show this person that you are better than them and you are not like them. Don't stoop down to their level.

Re: Stiffers
I would give her a card with a nice note. If she didnt think it appropriate to give me a gift, i think its perfectly fine if you dont give her one.

Re: Stiffers
Actually- if invited to her wedding, I wouldn't go. Why go if you're not really a friend of hers and wouldn't want to be there?IF I went- I'd give a card and no gift.

Re: Stiffers
Depends on how much I like the person - If I went to the wedding I would bring a card and send something off her registry.

Re: Stiffers
Wanna really have some fun with it? Give her a completely blank card. I mean buy one of those cards with no writing in them and don't write anything in it. Just sign your name.

Re: Stiffers
I'd go and give her just a card. Since she didn't even give you a card, just the card is showing you are a better person then her. Like Stef said add a little note in it.

Re: Stiffers
I would go, give a nice card and that's it.....I certainly wouldn't waste any of my money just to prove a point. Not that it's not a nice gesture, but like someone else said above, if they didn't think enough to give a gift to you....
Then it is perfectly acceptable to 'return the sentiment'

Re: Stiffers
A very, nice card with some wonderful words would be fine if you ask me.

Re: Stiffers
Thats really tough because we all know we should be giving gifts if we're going to show up (heck, lots of us even give gifts when we dont go)....I probably wouldnt go so I could feel justified in not giving anything back.

Re: Stiffers
We were in a similar situation. We went to the wedding, gave a card and $$. We had to go for other reasons, but if we weren't forced than I probably wouldn't go.A friend of mine is getting married who rsvp'd yes to both my wedding and engagement party and didn't show. I want to do the same soooo bad! But I probably will just say no to both.

Re: Stiffers
There is a girl that told me she wasnt coming to my halloween party at the last minute b/c she couldnt find a costume. In light of the fact that you can buy a costume at Duane Reades, Im thinking of telling her i cant come to her wedding b/c I cant find pantyhose. Is that too evil? hahahhhaha
