Been married 8 months, accepting the fact that my photog $ucked azz and that thats never going to change, but every time I see someone post about the 1500 proofs they got, when I got 258, I get sad, mad and want to cry again.
When will I get over this?????

I'm with you - we should have a photography support group - Wednesday nights LOL... I swear, I still don't get why I got 5hundred something out of 1200 proofs.
I feel your pain and am commiserating over here.

I know people who got over 1,000 proofs and are unhappy. They feel that in all those pictures, nothing was super high quality. They feel like the photographer snapped away and then gave them proofs with people's heads cut off, etc. I got exactly 538 from my photographer, but then I also got 300+ files of candids from the zap shots (screens). I could not imagine having more and there are over 200 pictures that are like masterpieces. Don't worry about numbers too much, as there are people who don't feel that quantity made their pictures good! If you don't like the quality, however, then RANT away and I'll support ya!
Also, it does not hurt to ask if your photog. took some shots that he/she didn't give you. Thought it seems that at least one of you has done that already. This also happened to one of the other girls here and she loved the ones that the photog. didn't give her at first. I haven't asked yet but I am wondering if my photog. has more.
I did love my photog. but I generally think that most of them are jerks!!!!
In the late 1980s, my sister got so screwed by her photog. and the family still talks about it! And in her video, you hear the ***** yelling at ME!!!!

Honestly, most of the best pics were ones my friends took with the disposable cameras on the tables.
Wed 8 pm Support for Disgruntled Brides sounds great to me.

How do you get over a photographer that took 800 pictures and only 5 or 6 of DH and you???? That's what I'm dealing with (in addition to the quality). And out of those 5 or 6 of only DH and myself, there are MAYBE 2 that I consider just okay....
I don't even want to put an album together at this point.

Welcome to my world.... Putting together the album actually helped though since now I just put the pictures away and am hoping for the best. If I could only stop the eternal 'what if's' running through my brain!
