damn, I don't take the subway everyday, and I can't remember the last time I did so I can't say if it was expensive or not, but all these fare raises are just crazy.

I take the subway A LOT and let me just say, I have NO IDEA where our money goes. The stations still look like SH1T. And just yesterday a trip that should have taken 25 mins took me over an hour because of a 'broken rail'. Arent they supposed to be improving things with this money? Or are workers getting better vacations?

I currently pay $248 for my monthly LIRR ticket and $81 for monthly Metrocard.

I will now be paying $404.67 a month.

This is complete BS!

such BS I am so pissed now my train pass is going to over $200 I cant afford to live in this state anymore I think I want to move to NJ

that is EXACTLY what is so frustrating...i remember when i was dorming FOUR years ago on the UWS...there was so much talk about 'the subway repairs, blah blah blah'...the only thing they ever did was put in those stupid digital station signs(who honestly wt h cares if they're digital or not!) ...the trains AND the stations are falling apart. You know how much money they probably made in ONE DAY in the last fair hike??? let alone it being years... i have no idea where it all goes, but it sure as heck isn't going to make it better/safer/nicer that's for sure

SERIOUSLY!! You know it did. Theyre full of effin sh!t. Aside from a few new trains, the stations still look and smell like crap. The higher the fare goes the more people are going to drive in to the city and cause more havoc on the roads. Whats the point?

That is scary to think that they are raising the fares, yet we don't see where any of this money is going to.

it's like the reverse robin hood. Steal from the poor and give to the rich. It makes no sense that they hike the fair and cut service. Our money is going in someones pocket.
