My mothers , mother was an old school polish woman. She had alot of superstitions and things she followed. What are some things that your mother/grandmother or even yourself wont do b/c its considered bad luck.
1) When you move into a new place, you don't bring salt into the home. You have someone bring it for you lol I don't know why 2) don't whistle in the house 3) (This one is only something my grandmother herself believed in) Don't use yellow paint in the house, it brings bad luck. She painted the kitchen yellow one day, and her husband (my grandfather) came home and said he lost his job. So apparently she vowed to never use yellow in her house again since then. My mother used to believe it, and now I do to. I don't paint any rooms yellow lol

Posted by Future_Farrell The purse thing I do. It actually just fell on the floor and I flipped out lol My MIL does this all the time, and I tell her not to do it b/c she will lose money, she never listens and i catch her doing it all the time, I just pick it up for her lol
that's funny. I always keep my purse on the floor, I've never even heard of that superstition. I think it's okay for me to leave it there, since I've never lost money anyway. lol. In fact, I've just recently FOUND money in a pair of jeans I haven't worn in about a year. hehe. Maybe the whole 'purse on the floor' deal works the OPPOSITE way
