DH and I are still waiting a while...although i have to say that I've been thinking about shortening that wait

I'm really at a toss up on this. I'm really scared and nervous about being pregnant, the birth and then the rest of it's life!

I am a graduate from the class of '2002' and we have been trying with no luck

I know neither of us are 'ready' but are not looking to wait much longer because we aren't getting any younger.

We eventually want children but I definitely don't have the maternal instinct yet. Don't get me wrong, I love kids and I'm good with them but I just don't have the urge yet. I get scared sometimes that I talk about not wanting them now that when we decide to have them we won't be able to. I work for an infertility doctor and I see couples every day struggling to have children, it's very sad.

I am w/ you V&S, no instinct yet, I'm around neices and nephews from 5 yrs down to 1 yr all the time and I see what it's really like. Whenever I spend a day with them, that's birth control for me!! And honestly, I can't take it sometimes, I like that I can play and have fun with them and then go home.
I'm 28 and only married 5 months. We have talked about maybe thinking about trying at 30 but I guess we'll see what happens in 2 years, where we are financially and emotionally.
I do want kids though, but I want to make sure I do a lot of the things I want to do before that happens so I don't have any regrets later on.

Well I am no where near ready (yet I do enjoy other peoples children). I go back and forth with the idea of wanting children at all. DH wants a bunch, but we are waiting at least 4-5 years before we TTC. Maybe by then I will be more sure of what I want. I am only 26 so I feel I have tons of time.
