Re: valentine's day

we were going to go up to the culinary institute of america and have lunch and spend the day in the area, but now we are spending the day with our nieces since it is their bday celebration! we are still going to the culinary institute but just not for vday.

We are going to spend the day together and then have a late dinner at a restaurant in the city. His friend is the manager and always treats us right!

personally, i think vday is slightly over rated -- I usually cook for DH and we have some wine and stay home. I always tell him no flowers but he always gets them and i always pick him up some of his favorite candy. This year friends invited us to see the blue man group a few days after vday so that is our gift to each other since the tickets were expensive.

DH planned a whole evening! Car picking us up to bring us to the city. Dinner at Roy's Hawaiian Fusion followed by Guys and Dolls! Can't wait!

Since it's a Saturday and everywhere will be super crowded, we'll most likely make a nice dinner at home and watch movies. Ah-maybe we'll watch the wedding video!

I'm the same way. We never do anything for vday. But I was still excited when DH told us our plans!

It's definitely nice. I think working in a restaurant has made me cynical. Every girl dressed in red, red roses on the table, numerous proposals at dinner. after a while i was like UGH!

Re: valentine's day

we havent been together for a Valentine's Day yet...so even though I am not a fan of VDay we are going to do something.

On the Wed before Vday we are getting together with 2 other couples and doing a Vday dinner all together since we are all seriously attached at the hip

Then on Vday maybe make breakfast for DH or have him make it lol and then hang out and go to our fav resturant for dinner and some drinks. We know the managers/bartenders so hopefully they can get us a table w/o waiting too long. (they take no reservations there)

Re: valentine's day

last year we went to Tabla and though the food was great, it was just way to expensive! i am not into flowers or anything so maybe we'll do dinner and a movie and the next day do breakfast in bed for DH..

i am not into vday much but just something to acknowledge it..

i was thinking of getting something for my cat though..
