Ok so we did eat our cake yesterday for our anniversary. We kept the top of our cake and of course i was so afraid to eat it. I have a bad stomach and get sick with fresh cake lol. Ok so we cut into it and to my surprise its not stale at all, infact it was soft, we take a bite and we couldn't believe how good it was, it tasted fine, i wouldve never known it was year old cake if somebody didn't tell me.
Did this happen to anyone else? others ate our cake too and they all said the same. I think maybe it was the fondant that kept the inside fresh i dont know how else it would stay soft like that.

I was eating mine a few days after our honeymoon and it started to taste funny so I threw it out to save freezer space... I checked everywhere I could online It doesn't send any bad karma!

Our One year was Sunday and we brought our cake top to foxwoods with us...It was icky..but i dont know if that was bc it sat i the car in a cooler with ice packs right out of the freezer or bc it was just old and gross!...but we each had a bite!

ours was awesome!!! were still eating it, i cant let it go to waste...one piece a day.
My MIL wraped the crap out of the box in saran wrap and then in foil and put it in the dee freeze. we thawed it for about 15 hrs prior to eating. its awesome. So good. brought me right back to last may.

Well the top of my cake never made it to the freezer..my parents left it in the trunk the night of the wedding..i was a bit annoyed because i heard it was really good..lol

We ate ours for breakfast the day after the wedding . I didn't know we were supposed to save it for a year. DH's nephew took the rest of it home.

Im dying to eat ours.....but I have 11 months to go. I also froze the leftover of the grooms cake and we are going to eat that at the 6 month mark.

We were going to eat it after the HM since we didn't really hve any at the wedding but it was left out. I didn't really plan to wait a year.

we had our cake yesterday.. omggg.. it was just delicious.. just as yummy as what we had on our wedding day.. our parents were there too.. so we all ate some and we have quite a bit left over.. yumm.. just delicious.. and it was just wrapped in foil..

our cake didn't make it the first week! We ordered a small cake from dortonis (where our wedding cake was made) with the same flavors and ate it on our anniversary...
