WHAT THE HELL!!!

Ok... So since these boards seem to be pretty open and most of us know one another from interactiosn throughout the years, I am engaging the newlweds thinktank here lmao to figure this out...

Ok so this isn't the first time this has happened..in fact it happens EVERY TIME I show pictures of my DH to people who have never met him before; aka work, my school mates, etc. So you'd think I'd be used to it but I AM NOT! Lmao I wnat to know what the hell it means!

How would you take it if someone saw a picture of your DH and says with actual SHOCK and even AWE in their voice...

'Oh, he's CUTE!'

-stares- And doesn't say it just once but again with even more surpise, looking from you to him and abck and saying again. 'Wow he's really hot.'

.... I mean what..did you think I was with a troll? DO you think I DESERVE a troll...I know I have big ears and a funny nose but DANG!

Mind you it is always women that say this but still...WHAT THE HELL!!!

couldnt agree more. you may find things about yourself that youre not crazyyy about (like we ALL do) and that might make you think twice when ppl respond, but goodness!!!!!!! i dont see anything but the fact that youre STUNNING!!!!!

I have to say he is a very good looking guy, and I would be one of those people telling you that if you showed me that picture. However, your just plain ole BEAUTIFUL!!!!! I think maybe it has to do with seeing a really good looking person - the natural reaction is to be like, oh wow, how goodlooking! So take it as a compliment that you have yourself a HOTTIE of a hubby!

PS Ladies, the goodlooking guy in the pics above are her brother (just in case you thought that was Jenn's DH).

Thanks ladies. LOL Wasn't looking for compliments to my injured pride but I LOVE em anyway Its just one of those ugly duckling things-wasn;t 'the hot girl' till college and so get all bristly when people seem shocked I ended up with a good looking man.

ppl look at a pic of my DH and they say 'oh wow--he's so tall and THIN' and then look at me...like 'you fat cow how'd you land a skinny *******?'

my sister's cousin one time actually had the BALLS to say to me 'wow! he's so thin...i mean...he doesn't...um...ya know...MIND that you are bigger?'

since we were at a family function--i had to conserve every ounce of energy NOT to punch her in her fuking mouth

Her saying when people make an issue of ehr weight and dating hot men:
'Chunky girls are the best of both worlds; we keep men warm in the winter and provide shade for them in the summer.'

Kills me everytime because people NEVER know how to answer that.

Or she says 'Men like to melt into loving and get wrapped up in skin and curves-reminds them of blowup dolls. When was the last time you saw men running to the KMART to get it on with a bunch of hangers?'

i get that reaction too sometimes. i think it's mostly b/c we are an interracial couple and ppl find that to be weird
when ppl don't know me and i talk about my DH, they ask if what he is or if he's filipino too.
some ppl don't know how to react to an interracial couple. so there comments come out 'shocking'.
